Catarina, I only have one final request on this one--I think it's great! I love it. I have reserved many different domain names for potential brands. I'm not in love with Real Food. I think it works ok, but I also have Rick's Rocking R and Rocking R Brand names. What is your opinion on which you'd like best for the overall concept name?
There is one commercial name brand issue for me here which there's no way you would know about. There is another company that is already in the market, especially at Whole Foods--my biggest target customer down the road. His business name is Rick's Picks. He makes only pickles. I don't see it as if I can't use my own name, of course, however I have a very close friend who was responsible for sourcing all new, local products at Whole Foods for years and he is somewhat concerned about both of us using Rick's, as I will be making some pickles too. I am thinking that one possibility is to make it Rick's (small font) and Rocking R or Rocking R Brand in larger font.
If you don't want to work on this now, I understand completely, as you've done so much work already. I can talk to you about this after the contest too as private project if you're open to that. I leave it to you and will be 100% happy either way.
In terms of variations on this theme itself, I tried to put my favorites in the most recent ranking. I really like all of the top 5-6 logos and can see using them each at different times. I love the green color choice you made for the logo w/ the circle around the Rocking R too, so it would be nice to see this in a color other than black/white, but I think it stands out really nicely as it is and I am very happy with it!

Hi Catarina, I love this, but honestly prefer your original mottled/antiqued font pattern better. I do prefer the slightly lower rocking arc on this one, however. I think if we can put this font pattern back to the antiqued look, this is probably the winner, as a single variation on this overall theme, for me. Thanks!!!

Hi Catarina, hope all is well in Portugal today! It's a beautiful, sunny day here today in Boston, so I'm hoping to get outside a bit and get some much needed fresh air!
So, I want to give you a few thoughts about the top 5-6 designs overall so you understand my thinking. This logo, with the rectangular box, is probably my favorite if I have to pick just a single one. My challenge at this point is that I can see applications for using all of the top 5-6 logos for different applications where I may want no border and just text, or just text with a rectangular border, but no image, or just the rocking r image with no text. I am not sure what the contest and site rules are here, but ultimately I would like to be able to use several different versions of this logo, very much in line w/ the way you've presented them in these different designs. I obviously don't want to ask for anything inappropriate based on site rules, so I just need a little guidance from you as to what's ok within the rules of the contest. I did see that some different variations of the logo are permissible, but I don't have a good understanding of the boundaries and what is reasonable to ask for. Can you please let me know what you think is reasonable based on your understanding and experience?
In terms of some minor changes I'd like to see to this particular logo, I think there are three that we'd like to see: 1) change the leaf color to match all other text color; 2) lower the sides of the rocking r arc just a bit (not as much as the other design you've already done--somewhere in the middle of the current one and the one where you significantly shrunk the rocking r arc--I can get the entry # for you if what I'm asking isn't clear); and, 3) make the font pattern solid rather than the mottled/weathered/antiqued pattern that it is now (i.e., solid white rather than aged/antiqued). I like the antiqued/mottled pattern fill myself, but my family asked to see it solid...

Hi Catarina, just a quick update and so sorry for the confusion by all the changes to the contest status, going back and forth between open/selection/finalist... LogoTournament support is down to only checking support requests 2x per day now and he's not reading emails carefully so he jumped the gun on putting the contest into selection phase. I told him I was almost ready, but needed to get surveys back from family and friends and would let him know as soon as I got them back. He went ahead and made it selection but then moved it back to finalists late last night when he read my reply to his earlier change...it has been very tough working w/ support on their dramatically reduced support time. I know it's coronavirus related, but it has still been frustrating and I'm sorry it's probably feeling absurd as a designer that this process has been so sloppy. Thanks for hanging in there! I am waiting for just a few surveys back from a few more people--they have been coming in much more slowly than I hoped. Your designs are most likely the winning ones (it's down to you and one other at this point), but still want to hear from a couple of others, who have promised to complete them today. I definitely plan to move to selection phase, hopefully, by later today.

Hi Catarina, quick update. I have sent out a survey to my closest friends and family. The rocking r logo is my favorite at this point, as the ranking reflects. The one thing that I'd be really interested in trying, if you're willing, is to merge aspects of two logos together. If you look at # 370 that you submitted (it is the same font and text as above with a rectangular border around it), I'm just curious how it would look to place the same border around the base of this logo. Or, alternatively, to potentially place the rocking r inside a bordered shape--potentially a circle. I also think it would look cool to make the leaf/apostrophe green but leave the rest of the image black and white.
My wife and I have pretty much settled on this basic concept for the winning design, but I do want to get some feedback from a few folks that are helping me before choosing a final design. Just wanted you to know where things stand for me at this point. Thanks again for all your efforts here!

Catarina, one more thought for this one. I have always love American "old west" themes. Not sure if you're familiar with old ranch/cowboy themed cattle brands, but there's one called "rocking r." If you search it on google images for "rocking r cattle brands" you'll see what I'm referring to. Basically an 'r' sitting on a rocking chair base (an upward facing arc). I really like this but would love it with a "rocking r" design to complement it on top that I could use separately from the text. My family really loved this font/text combo here and so do I, so wondering how you'd feel about checking out the rocking r?
Hi Catarina, hope you're well. Had a thought here. Got some overall feedback from family and friends that many of the logos were too generic and didn't tie closely enough to some of my products. I don't agree in all cases, but I did want to see what you think about trying to tweak this just a bit. My idea is to make the two "r's" into carrots coming out of the ground and having carrot tops instead of the bushy leaf look. Trying to tie it a bit more closely to the products I'm making right now. Main ingredients are napa cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, hot peppers, onions, scallions and then also a bunch of different nuts and seeds. What do you think?
