Got some overall feedback from family and friends that many of the logos were too generic and didn't tie closely enough to some of my products. I don't agree in all cases, but I did want to see what you think about trying to tweak this just a bit. My idea is to change the base of the plant that's here into a carrot coming out of the ground but having similar leaf/sprout feel on top, possibly making it a little more like carrot tops. Trying to tie it a bit more closely to the products I'm making right now. Main ingredients are napa cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, hot peppers, onions, scallions and then also a bunch of different nuts and seeds. What do you think? Thanks!! 4 years ago rickwynn commented on #412 Withdrawn Firdol, thanks so much. Here's something I've shared with a few other designers as help that I can offer right now, as my top ranked (1-5) logos share a few qualities: 1) They all have some sort of image/logo that is separate from the "Rick's Real Food" font and text. Each is different in design, but each one has some sort of natural/organic/food/plant type of image, in addition to the text. Nearly all of your designs did this initially, but some have ended up embedding the text within the image, or combining the image and the text. I definitely want to keep them separate, like the logo here (#412). 2) Separating the image and text is critical for me for a few reasons a) I like it. b) I want to be able to use both the full logo (text and image) at times, but I also want to be able to use just the image without the text for things like web icons, t-shirts, hats, etc. So this is a must-have for me. 3) The logos I have ranked most highly so far each have a very subtle 'r' worked into the image in some way. The 'r' does not dominate in any of them--in no case is it just a large r or R with some leaves or something on it. The 'r' is embedded very subtly into the design of the image in ways that I find very inspiring. This is what caused me to write you in the note above. I was hoping that there might be a subtle way to tweak the above design (412) to make the embedded 'r' slightly more noticeable, potentially by removing the leaves. No idea if this is even possible, but just something I noticed as I looked at the image. Hope that helps--thanks again and don't hesitate to reach out for more info or questions. Really appreciate it! This one is my favorite so far. One thing I've noticed is that I have gravitated towards logos that have "r" subtly--not a big letter r, but just a subtle r in the background in some way that doesn't dominate the theme. wondering if it's possible to tweak this one just slightly, since it already looks very much like a lower case r. Thinking of possibly removing the leaves from the lower right branch and having the plant come just out of the left part of an 'r.' What do you think? Thanks! 4 years ago firdol commented on #197 Withdrawn I'm happy to do. please check in #412 4 years ago rickwynn commented on #197 Withdrawn Hi firdol, I think this one is one of our fav's of yours, after getting some additional feedback. Would you mind just changing this one to Rick's, but leaving it the same otherwise? Thanks!! 4 years ago firdol commented on #319 Withdrawn Of course.. Please check last my entry.. Thanks. 4 years ago rickwynn commented on #319 Withdrawn Hi Firdol! So nice of you to pick this up again and work on some new ideas. Thanks so much! Would you mind trying this one with the tree out of the I instead of the K and move the Real Food to the right? Like where you're going w/ this one! Thanks!! Hope you're well and staying healthy. All best, Rick 4 years ago rickwynn commented on #200 Withdrawn Gosh...firdol--so sorry...I forgot you did this one when I made my last comment....sorry. You already did what I asked on this one and I had already put it as a ranked favorite! So, great work! Pls ignore my momentary brain lapse... Thanks again! 4 years ago rickwynn commented on #199 Withdrawn Hi firdol, thanks for sending some designs my way--thrilled you've entered the contest!! Would love to see this one without the outer circle around the tree image and I'd love to see it with the tree above the text, like the structure of the other image with the tree above the text. I really like both of those images and so appreciate that you sent them in! If I could make one more request, I'd love to see them in a negative/inverse color scheme with a dark background and light font/text--absolutely not necessary for all of them, but would be really helpful to see it for this one or the one w/ the tree above. Thanks! And, pls don't hesitate to reach out if none of this makes any sense... All best, Rick 4 years ago
