Like the idea (Rino Text as Rhino), it is close but i'm not feeling it yet. Hard to say what i want to see different.
However please keep in mind we are a software company, and need the logo to comunicate that.
We will use the logo as an inspiration for the whole branding effort (IE color spectrum, Typography, etc...) on our website, digital ADs, print ADs, business cards.
On #2 not looking for so many colors. We like the idea Tri/Quad color max. I know we identified most of these colors in our contest color palette by their visual meaning - however we were trying to convey that the logo needs to convey those meaning visually; not necessarily are we requiring the use of the 'exact' color spectrum we defined. Sorry if that was misleading.

1st thing that we wanted to say was 'WOW!!’ -all the submission thus far have been amazing - we really appreciate everyone’s attention to detail and taking the time to read through our comments.
I have extended the contest for another 7 days and wanted to use this time to ask that all new submissions be completely outside of the box - moving away from the utilization of a 'Rhino' in the design strategy. We will still consider designs with 'Rhino' features in them however we want to see your design ideas for logos of a company representing the following:
Again please don't take this extension of the contest as a reflection that we are dissatisfied with any of the submitted design work thus far. Again we are looking for new design ideas that represent the above criteria.
