Thanks for your designs. I really like several of them (#47, #48, #44 and #42). I am a bit concerned that while the colors are really nice, they may appear washed out in our materials. We will use the logo extensively on lettehead, newsletters, website, decals for vehicles, etc.
I really like the color updates you made and circular logos. This may seem silly, but I suspect my colleagues might mention it...#58 and #42 are great but include cattails. They are different than wild rice, which looks more like a grass (lots of great photos if you google it). I like the idea of incorporating wild rice some how, but want to make sure it more accurately relfects our name sake.
We really liked #63, but prefer the smooth edge similar to #56. Also, there was some concern that the 'watershed district' portion of the logo was not as noticeable/readable as the 'rice creek' lettering.
#82 really caught our eye immediately. Would you consider incorporating our acronym, RCWD, into that design?
've re-instated all my work in order to protect certain designs directions. The extension is now from the open phase again which means any one can enter over the next 3 days. and the Top 5 another 2 days after that.
If you are truly looking for new ideas other than what I have uploaded I'll see what I can do but I'll need input from you otherwise I am just guessing.
I didn't realize that the extension meant opening up the contest again. We are selecting from the top five as shown last week. No changes needed at the moment.
Our group really likes #111. The only remaining suggestion was to play with the upper lefthand portion of the logo where the building is located. We like the idea of incorporating the building into the image, but when viewing the design, some didn't realize it was a building. Are there other building outlines you can use in that location or can you tweak the existing building to make it more obvious?
No, I think you could use any building to indicate our work with urban as well as rural communities. Would it help to incorporate a roof or to add windows to make it more obvious? The image in the upper left hand quadrant doesn't have to be entirely new, just tweaked. My board really loves the design, just wants the building to be more obviously a building.
Hopefully, this makes some sense. Thanks for your patience with this process.
That's a possibility. Would you incorporate a few taller buildings as well? Visually, #111 feels more balanced to me. We will take one final look tomorrow morning so the more options the better. You are definitely our front runner!
if you mean they are looking odd then yes the colours are cmyk and if you are trying to open in software than cannot handle cmyk then the colours will look horrid.
Jessica you have a private message system you can access I did respond earlier with this
--------------------------------- Hello Jessica,
Thank you for selecting my work, I've uploaded the required EPS and JPG image. The LT system will auto generate 3 jpg images small medium and large. Yu use the images to approve the design in order for payment to be processed.
once that is done if you do not have any addition modifications, I will be forwarding these additional file formats
1. 1 hi res jpg 300 dpi cmyk 2. hi res jpg 300 dpi rgb 3 hi res 300 dpi BW 4. no background PNG small medium page for web use 5. faviconi.ico used for website bookmarking 6, illustrator cs5 or earlier.
My advice is to delete the 3 jpg images downloaded from LT as they are not really suitable for anything without editing. the pack I supply is better.
I am available for additional design work, if needed.
