If you require any revisions from Designers before selecting a winner, or would like to allow particular Designers to explore additional options, you are encouraged to rank them in your Top 5 and communicate your wishes with them. They will be happy to assist you.

If you need any variations/revisions from other than the 1st ranked designer then You need to rank that designer in 1st spot. Because the contest is in Judging mode and only the 1st ranked designer can submit new designs.
