Color Preferences
transparent bg; a simple color palette, not more than 1 or 2 colors; orange would probably work well against the planned dark gray bg of the website header
Our Ideas & Additional Information
i would definitely like to see something done with 2 capital R's taking the shape of a rocket when arranged back-to- back (one "R" would be reversed). i want it to be obvious that these are the initials for RepRocket, so maybe that means having somewhat similar characters as the R's in the company name -- not necessarily the exact characters, just enough to get the idea across and only if it's not completely obvious from the rocket shape itself. Let's keep the "rocket" somewhat simple to convey this relationship and make it easy to produce an .ico file from, and make it somewhat lighthearted without being too cartoon-ish. if it makes sense to incorporate the tagline "sites for salespeople" in smaller font without making the overall logo seem too busy, then we're all for it. You guys are the pros - let's see what you come up with.

#2 has some promise. i like the overall arrangement and proportion. looking forward to seeing more ideas on the "rocket" concept. remember that this logo will be on a dark bg, so the font can't be dark in the final design. thx!

#4 -- definitely the right idea as far as a squared-shaped & inverted "rocket" i can make an .ico file from, and the landscape layout is along the right track as opposed to having something more vertical (rocket above the name, etc)

#8 challenges my idea that the logo *has* to be made of R's, but i'm glad to see the creativity and want to encourage more, so it's a new top-ranker. all is not lost on the R's-into-rocket idea, though. and let's stick with the dark gray backgrounds, folks! (the final version will need to be on a transparent bg, but the gray us helps to see what we're working with in the meantime)

UPDATED: lifted a bad hex code from the site, let's just use dark gray and leave it at that...please disregard below...

designers -- please all use #24333 or very similar as the bg color. thanks & great work so far!

Hi guys -- ranking now -- if there are slight variations on the same theme from the same designer, I might rank the best of those and put the others in "non-interesting" -- please don't take this personally or as an indication that the general idea was bad, just want to keep this easy for us. THANKS!

#18 logo makes for a great .ico file, i like the white/orange variation in the text and the variation in the font. similar kudos to #27 , #8 and #14 , etc. keep it up!

#32 better with vertical "rocket" like the one in #4 -- makes it more clear that it's a couple of R's forming the rocket...thanks!

you guys can see from the rankings that our preference is for a logo that is compact, landscape arrangement, has a graphic on left which can be easily converted to an icon file, and is a creative variation of a rocket to get the point across. #18 does all of this really well. if we use the R's idea described in the brief, it needs to be to form a rocket of sorts -- #33 does the best job of this as it's obvious we're looking at a rocket and it's a perfect candidate for the .ico file we're going to need. dark gray bg with orange and white is looking great, so let's stick with that. looking forward to more ideas -- thanks & good luck!!

just a reminder to designers that when we throw something into the "not interesting pile", more times than not it's only because a VERY similar design that we favor from that designer is already ranked, and we do so out of necessity to keep things organized. thanks again for all the work!

Client
just another reminder on the R's idea.... the whole point was to make a "rocket" from the company initials....R's by themselves or generic rocket graphics aren't interesting to us, as you can see from the rankings. creative uses of the rocket concept ( #18 ) or R's presented as a rocket while clearly seen as R's ( #33 ) are welcome and interesting, but not R's and rockets by themselves sans the irony. thanks!

please read the brief/comments and look over the rankings, guys. i hate to see anybody spin their wheels unnecessarily, and we'd like to have more realistic designs to choose from. generic rocket graphics won't be winning/placing in this contest. 5 minutes of reading on your parts should help us all out. thanks!

#67 really great fonts, but much prefer a rocket icon that I could show to my mother without making her blush

1 day left, so let's keep it simple: icon, company name, and slogan. anything wildly different from the top rankers at this point will not have any consideration...we aren't looking for complicated artwork or generic rockets (we don't actually sell rockets) or gratuitous use of "R"'s that are only apparent if you know to look for them. thanks again to everyone for the efforts and submissions!

#76 a bit more complicated than I prefer, but creative. simpler is better. something that can be an .ico file is also a strong preference.

#90 very sharp...but the flame....something's not right about the arrangement. keep working on it, tho...

Client
#91 dude.... You *might* be onto something here because it's really creative what you've done, but i'm not sure how to reconcile the rocket with the torso. it seems that any way you arrange it will appear either phallic or fire shooting out of some guy's arse.

#92 and #95 better, i guess. #96 looks like a creature from Starship Troopers. I didn't like Starship Troopers.

#92 growing on me. tagline and "flame" are bunched a little too tightly, tho.

Client
#92 still growing on me.... can you make the "R"'s forming the figure the same size as the R in "Rocket"? mayeb that will fix the spacing issue with the flames and the tagline. this might also make for a better overall profile. thx!

looks like a lot of folks have been hiding in the bushes until the last minute, eBay style..... just letting you guys know that I won't take the time to rank any of these if they aren't in a points-paying position. we've been at this for 9 days and the tactics aren't necessarily appreciated.

thanks!

I dont think designers are "hiding in the bushes"....Actually Many designers just find contests later than others. We are not on Logo Tournament all the time. To many of us this simply supplements as additional side income. So many people may have noticed this contest later than others. I may log in and find a contest at the beginning or I sometimes discover them late. Just the factual reality of this type of site. 9000 designers all logging in at different times from numerous countries and timezones around the world, will guarantee that may contests are discovered late.

Congrats on finding the logo that you needed. I hope the experience was a happy one.
