Buenos dias, Mister Maliseri!

Thank you to see my comments from yesterday about experimenting with a part of the sphere;
for me, this allows us to bring in an element of dynamism and grandness to the design.

When you show part of the object, and the lines flow off the page, your mind has to fill it in;
you know that you are working with something bigger.... and that is at the heart of New Innergy,
which is the initiator of Renewable Energy Partners.

With regard to design 15, the lightest part of the image is not visible enough; It works better in image 16. Both are important, as the image will be used in both light on dark, and dark on light.

Can you experiment more with the partial sphere designs... using the lines of the sphere to create something alive and bigger...
An option could be to go as far as image 13 where the lines come around (all or part of) the company name.

Here I would like you to experiment in the balance between the prominence of the name and the logo.

One way to also do this is the now work with the font;
try a lighter and more contemporary font.

HOla, Sue,
Bueno, diria que no eres mexicana!?!?!?
Yo vivia muchos anos en Espana pues me siento medio espanol!

YES, design 21 is making a great, balanced combination of the name and logo.... the name gives a strong foundation, and the partial logo pops to life, you get a star without a star, you get the node and circles without having the whole sphere, etc!

Let;s play with this further;
- the fill in the 'star' looks crisper in white, as in entry 18 and 22; as it will be also used in b/w print; see how it looks a version black and white, just to make sure it pops even in its simplest form.
- I like the more abstract view of the node/star, where the fill is a bit thicker, even though entry 22 looks crisp and clean. In 22, my attention goes more to the rings, than the actual node.

So, build on Entry 21.

Can you also play now with some other fonts?
This is light and 'traditional' which is fine, but let's see how we can marry it to the dynamism of the logo;
with a font that gives some 'energy' to the name;
you can push the envelope a bit, add a more dynamic design font (like the logo), still sophisticated
but without being too eccentric, outlandish, or cliche.

un fuerte abrazo,
Gil

Hola! :D

Do you want me to speak in english or spanish? I speak well both, here in LogoTournament im used to speak english but spanish is my first language, so if we speak spanish is just perfect for me :)

I made many entries in black and white with different fonts, let me know if you need to see more (i have many fonts to choose, so dont worry, i will find the right one!)

Hice muchas entradas con muchas fuentes diferentes, dime si necesitas ver mas (tengo muchas fuentes, no te preocupes, encontraremos la fuente correcta para tu logo!)

Besos y abrazos!

HOla Sue,

I will do the same and give my feedback in English!

Ok, it is clear that the logo works well in black and white with a clear center; estupendo.

As for the font, I realize that it must be more on the masculine side;
why? because it must give an absolute solid foundation, and the quiet strength to the identity;
the logo can soar above it, but the base must be rock solid;
although in innovation and renewables, we ARE working for Banks and Investors,
mainly older, conservative men,
and must appeal to their need for security and confidence.

I like the fonts where the Upper and Lower Case are almost the same, as in no. 32.
In that example, however, the width of the name is out of balance with the logo; it is too wide.
21 and 25 are better balanced.

If may even be possible to use the bold version of the font in #21,
or a similar font that is a big thicker. I am not sure, and let you see what you come up with.

This will be evident as I like you to go back to the color version now; knowing that the palette of the star in entries 20 and 21 were just a bit flat.

Can you put all of that together now!?!?!?
Ya se que si!

un fuerte abrazo,
Gil

I made some entries with diferent ways of putting the elements together :) My favorite is #46, and i made it with black background, just to see how would look (#47) Of course you have the last word and i will wait for your feedback to make the next step. Also, we can play with more colors, i used earthy tones because is in the brief, but red and oranges would look awesome too, (actually, all colors would look great on this graphic)

Hugs!

Hola Sue,

this is great, and great to do with you. I appreciate your comments.
The choice is becoming harder, which means we are close!

Now that we see the bold fonts, I actually like the lighter font better.... !!!
I see that it is not necessary to create emphasis, and the lighter font has more class and sophistication.

As for 46 and 47, this brings a strong emphasis on the partners, which is good.
I do still like the 'traditional' services look of 41 (like a law firm...)
I like the font used in 40 and 41.
- can you make 40 and 41 not in bold
- can you make 46 with the same light font of 40/41

and for one last style variation,
can you move the logo to the top left covering 'Renewable Energy' (you may have to resize it) where the star reflects the sun and pushes energy through the name. You can see how and where 'partners' should sit.

Glad you mentioned colors!
Yes, please make some variations now; red/orange/yellow
and any others that inspire you.

Gracias!!!
un fuerte abrazo,
Gil

Buenos dias, Sue!

Thank you for these;

- My eyes are not so good with the colors (maybe i am a bit colorblind!!....
is the difference between 48 and 52 the color scheme?

- As for the variation in 50 and 51, it clearly does not work... the logo looks like a big tarantula about to eat the name! I was thinking if the logo was smaller starting to the left of the name, and pushing the name out in one line, a cross between design 8 and 40. Can you try that?

- can you make design 32 in the red/yellow color scheme?

We are almost there!

gracias,
Gil

Hi Gil! :D How are you? Hope everything is going great :)

About 48 and 52, in 48 the font is a little bit bigger, just that :)

I made #58 and #59, i tried to follow your instructions, hope i did it right, or at least, closer to your idea, just let me know how can i improve it :D

And #32 in the other color scheme: #57

I also made #60, as an aditional option :)

Let me know your thoughts, and please dont worry, if i have to do a hundred or more revisions, i will do it until we get it perfect :D

Send you a big hug!

Hola Querida Sue,

Super!
I do like number 60, so now it is between number 52 and 60, even though 58 is nice.

Can you take 60, and make a color variation of yellow to forest green (darker green) ?
I am liking the red, but want to check the dark green;

WHY?
because the color choice is going to effect the house style, website and biz cards,
so while the colors are a subtle impact on the actual logo,
when we go bigger on web and print,
we need to think how they will scale.

I welcome your opinion and feedback on this!

un fuerte abrazo,
y mil gracias por tu espiritu tan amable y cooperativa!!!

They ARE beautiful, Sue!!!

I like the color of 76.

It seems that the star 'bursts' brighter on 70.
Did you put a special effect here that is different from 76?

Can you put the same effect on the color of 76?

GRACIAS!!!!!

I think the white gradient-to-color is just a little bigger, let me do it exactly in the same proportions.

I made #95 and #96, just in case you wanted an exact replica of the photos :)

Buenos dias, Sue,

We can still work on the color versions until we find the right one! Dont worry about that. The judging mode is for that for :D

Also, color variations are part of the logopackage that you will receive when the contest be complete. We can keep on contact if you need in the future the logo in any other format, color, or size.

Hugs!

Estupendo, Sue,

Thank you for your great support and explanations;
I am sorry we were off for the weekend, and one of my partners is ill.

We spoke briefly, and would like you to make a version in the following scheme (remember that we are picking colors that will also translate well into print, web, documents, etc.:

Going back to the original brief,
and the colors we started with in 20, 23,
can you make the logo in
bronze with the font in gray (light or dark whichever works better in combination),
and the 'spark' in ...!?!? silver/white/metallic

Thank YOU!!!!!!

Buenos dias, Sue!

Muchisimas gracias;
they are both beautiful! The silver is a bit cold, and my partners and i are very warm,
and do our business in a warm and loving way.
Nos gusta numero 108, the bronze version!

The gray color of the font, however, we find is too light;
can you make it the dark bronze color of the logo.

This should be the last change.... ;-o
