Discussion

What Red likes is the hair -- the shape of it is great. Lots of whimsy, fun and energy.
What she's uncomfortable with is the face, especially the rosy cheeks. Glasses are just a bit too oval -- so the overall effect is kind of too much round-ness.
If the face were different, the font might work. Together -- too much.
Wondering if the dress/font etc might work better if they weren't green. Because good stuff there. Especially the shade of red -- very RED SAID.

This is VERY close. Baseline is very good.

Many thanks for the feedback -- happy to hear I'm on the right track! Submitting herewith two revised versions. Red has been slimmed down quite a bit, and her glasses altered to more closely match the detail in the new photo you provided. Rosy cheeks removed (but overall skintones warmed up a bit). Colorwise, I ended up going with neutrals for her clothes and type -- I liked the way this allows her red hair to really pop. Of course, I'm happy to play more with color. Finally, showing an alternative font -- less busy, but still a bit quirky. Please let me know your thoughts on these changes! Cheers!

Wow, Loquaz -- both of these color changes are really interesting. Going to come back a little later after I've let them gel a bit. Thank you SO much.

And oh yes, the glasses! Great.

WOW! We are thrilled by the changes in these two designs! A couple notes:

I LOVE the font of the black (#9), but I think I like the color grey for the text and the shirt---it makes the black headphones stand out more.

Is there a way to tone down the smile a bit? Maybe not so toothy?

The energy is wonderful. And those glasses are perfect. ;)

*** August 1st: You are SO close. Red still wants a little less toothy mouth. She is a bit shy. Thank you so much for really listening and understanding Red's wishes.

So happy you're happy! Back with a revision showing the new type with the grey coloration. I've also made her a bit less toothy, while hopefully keeping the bright spirit of Red's great smile. Finally, I gave her a new, more graceful hand. Looking forward to continued thoughts. Cheers!

Just saw your edit to your comment of the 1st -- I'm out and about this morning, but will return later with a further toned down smile for Red. Want her to be pleased with the results -- no need to be shy at all in asking for what she wants!

Cheers!

Three smaller smiles (all the way to no teeth showing at all). Please let me know if you'd like to see more options -- or any other changes. Cheers!

#25: could we maybe get the lips a TEEEEEEEENY bit fuller, and/or maybe just a smidge higher on the face? I think I like the closed smile but it feels like there might be a bit too much of a gap between the lips and glasses.

I thank you SO MUCH for putting up with all these tweaks. I hugely appreciate the time and energy you're putting into this.

Sliiiiiiiiiiiightly fuller lips -- please let me know if it's enough! And, I adjusted the length of the face so there is less space between her mouth and glasses -- sorry I didn't catch that sooner! Feel free to ask for any other alterations that come to mind -- I want to make Red perfect for you! Cheers!

#27 -- the latest

You did it! It's perfect. Just one last teensy request -- would you mind showing Red what it looks like with black rather than gray? She loves the gray but practically speaking, black often is easier. But really a great job and many many thanks.

Red says she loves this and it's exactly what she has been hoping for. Back later to finalize. Thank you!

So very pleased that I've been able to bring Red's vision to fruition! I'm submitting one more version -- with my own teeny adjustment: SAID is slightly bigger, in order to lessen the space between the word and Red's hair -- the larger space was bothering me just a bit. Cheers!
