If there's any way you could include the fork somewhere else on the design (just off to the side) so I can choose to use/swap it at a later time, that would be great.
Otherwise, this is my final design. I will be contacting you after the contest ends to design further elements. I just really like your style.
I believe I read that you could also provide the same logo on a color background, if requested. If yes, I would like it with the dark blue as the background and anything that is dark blue in the current logo turns to white.
I replaced the one with the largest icons when I realized you made this one. Still bigger than the original, but not the largest size. I love it. Final design will either be this one or this with the fork. Because you had to push the letters closer together, I'm thinking the fork won't work, but I'd still like to see it. Left the url to the fork I like on the other pic, but here it is again: https://selfproclaimedfoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/favicon.png
I realized the 3-prong fork doesn't look right. This one is wider at the base of the handle and has a straight taper to the fork head. The bottom is slightly rounded (I'd be okay with flat bottom with slightly rounded corners). 4-pronged straight head where the middle opening goes slightly deeper.
The fork is not quite right. I like the fork in #231 because it is straight. The handle is a straight line. I just wanted to see what that fork looked like with a thicker handle and perhaps the same size head, but with three prongs so it's easier to make them out.
I am very glad! Thank you for your faith in me :-) Yes we must finalize the design before the end of the contest!
I have submitted some revisions and we can work on them!
I'd like to see this one with the egg/apple slightly larger and/or stretched vertically. Arrows could be shortened just a bit to accommodate.
I like seeing them horizontally in line with the letters, but it looks off because they don't fill that entire space created by the natural outline of the words.
If that looks funny, perhaps try centering them within that space or aligning with the top of the word RECIPE?
I have decided to select your design as the winner, and would like to discuss more design elements after the contest, but I want to get this design perfect before ending the contest.
As far as the fork, I want it to be a fork, but blend in more as the "i". I like the thicker base you have here, but the three-pronged head should be more like the original fork, just a bit thinner.
I have a fork on my main site logo and I like how it really blends in with the word but is just different enough to make it interesting. https://selfproclaimedfoodie.com/
Hello
Like I said earlier the winning design is only one. Please read this article. It’s informative on the files you are getting. https://help.logotournament.com/article/36-files-you-will-receive
Any other design you may need, you can discuss with the winner but only after the end of the contest.
I hope this makes sense. We are very respectful of the rules here and our fellow designers as well!
You're still my top choice but am still thinking of variations. Would I be able to get one of the main logos I have ranked right now as well as a round version like this? I like "recipe substitutions" as you have them, but would love to see the egg and the apple bigger, offset at a diagonal in the center, and then those circular arrows.
was also thinking the egg could nudge a wee bit to the right to reduce the space between the egg and apple and then angle the arrows so that they tilt just a teeny bit more. Super minor but I'm curious how that would look?
I think so! Did you see my question about being able to provide other food icons to use for my categories that would have a similar color palette but still use those dark blue icons? I'm just not sure of what all is included in final logo design.
Hmmm... Looks off. what if the egg went a bit above the word recipe and the whole food/arrow combo was nudged a bit to the right so that the apple went a bit to the right of the word substitutions? Just to make the food more diagonal by letting it slightly ooze out of the box naturally created by the words? Not sure how that would look.
The winning design is only one so you get to have anything that is included in the design. If you wish to have icons designed, then you can hire the winner to design the icons for you! But these are deals that can be made only after the end of the contest to maintain transparency.
I definitely like these arrows! Maybe nudge the egg up so that the top aligns with the top of the E? I also really like this design because I'm looking to have food symbols for my most used categories. I love the neutral colors combined with the offset outline. Are things like that also included with the logo design? This is my first time using this service.
Now I would just want to see the same thing with a regular "i" instead of the fork as well as a different variation on the arrows and I'll use those designs to get feedback from my friends. Thanks!
I like this. Thanks! Maybe a red that's a little deeper or brick colored? Can I also see with a regular "i" and a fork as the "i" only in the word recipe? One friend commented that the long fork made it read REC and then PE, but another friend liked it. I'm also curious if the arrows were a bit heavier/thicker. Right now they match the lines on the food, but I wonder what they'd look like if they were a bit thicker? Your design is definitely in my top two.
Hello
I have submitted revisions with the apple shape and the arrows you wanted to see. However I chose the egg and oil drop as they are they least complicated shapes. I think that any other shape will be more complicated. For instance I thought of butter instead of egg but the shape would be even more difficult to understand. If you have any other food ingredients in mind that you find appropriate and easy to see in small size, let me know!
Thank you
Elena K.
So, I love this one up close, but in reality, it's going to be very small on people's phones and the arrows aren't super obvious when it's small. I'm thinking you still have two different food items (you can try the two you have and maybe two others with more bold colors) and have arrows going between the two? I'll draw a markup.
I had another thought. What if you used an apple shape instead of the teardrop? Applesauce is often used as a substitute for egg, so i thought it might make more sense?
I think I like the thicker fork because it's consistent with the letter width in "substitutions" - but agree it seems off. Was thinking you make the fork head skinnier instead?
