Entry #13 is my favourite so far. Really like the font. I like the houses as they relate to one another. Gives the logo some personality, not too corporate looking. I am a woman (who runs the business with a male contractor) and I think this stands apart from my competition in that it is a bit more friendly than a standard architectural line drawing. the houses may look a bit stern ? ... also green space is important to the city (ie landscaping and trees etc.in order to get a permit) but I am not sure if adding this element would make it too busy because I like the simplicity of this design.
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:
~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation. ~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered. ~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see. ~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested" ~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation. ~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work. ~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

Like the simplicity of these designs. Lane homes are almost always lower than the main house (main house is two storeys lane house is 1.5 or 1 storey).
Would like to see designs that are elegant, sophisticated, classic with a modern twist.
There are some great entries ... sorry I have been down with the flu and unbale to check!
I like the new more architectural and modern lines of #72/#73. Could see them on construction tshirts. I have many applications for the logo including lawn signs, construction tshirts, banners and brochures. If the designs are too twee construction guys may not wear them. they need to be cool as well as different from the competition. Whille I want upscale, it can still have an edge ...
I wanted to congratulate everyone on some great entries!
pyschologically i appear to be gravitating toward green looking designs. i don't want to be pigeon-holed in this area ... (want to look environmentally forward looking not hippie) maybe a chocolate brown and green design?
There were so many entries that I didn't have time to do a full sort and rank. Sorry everyone. I will try to get it done first thing in the morning and send out some comments to all ... The only thing I can say is that chocolate brown may not have worked as well as I had thought, so I don't want to lead the design process. thanks to everyone who has submitted and an extra thanks to those of you who have submitted multiples. It takes so long to look at each one for its merits and it is hard to discard any!
