On my entries #35 and #36 I've graphicaly presented your ranch, with the view on the lake, and used the same color to connect "el represo" with its part in the logo icon. Also, I've used round logo icon shape (reference to hunting rifle aiming scope) and deer/sheep silhouette, to subtly indicate hunting part of your business. On entry #36, that hunting part is even more emphasized!
Hope you'll like this unique, contemporary design, and if you feel there's room for improvement, feel free to let me know! Maybe we can try some textures, or other effects, but I would suggest these clean looking, 2D/flat versions! Thank you!
...and on my entry #41, there's subtle shine effect on the logo icon and "Sonora - Mexico" designation. I didn't want to use Sonora/Mexico map, because from branding point of view, maps are usualy hard to idetify and they overcrowd designs,...basicaly, it looks unprofessional! Writing the words will do far better job! Any thoughts/suggestions!? Thanks!

P.S. If you like this concept, maybe adding some rooflines by the lake would help to represent "ranch" part more obviously, but it might also overcrowd design with details.
...and an update on my initial design on entry #46.
Although that grunge/rough effect on #45, or #subtle 3D effect on #41, might be more eye catching, I would suggest to go with 2D/flat logo version,...printing, embroidering, and other applications will be way easier/cheaper, and in case you want to add these effects for some web aplications, it can easily be done!

I was working on modifications, so didin't get your last comment before submiting. No problem at all,...I can deliver it in any color you want!
At this point, on entry #51 I did some slight modifications on the deer's horns, and on #52 you have monochromatic black version,...in my book this looks smashing and it is already included in my peronal portfolio! :)

You are right about printing,...it will be cheaper to print monochromatic versions of the logo, but you shouldn't give up on multi color version, because it will be useful for web applications, as big part of the ranch marketing! Delivering different monochromatic versions (black, red) of this logo, for me isn't a problem,...it is the same design!
I had to withdraw my concept with sheep in negative space of deer, because another designer complained that it is his concept. I didn't notice his design until now (it is bearly visible), but he has animal inside animal concept submited before me and this is apparently not alowed on LogoTournament! If I hadn't withdrawn it, we would have dispute, and it would take few days, if not week to resolve!
It is easier to make slight modifications on my concept, so there are new entries with rising sun instead: #55, as color version, and #56, #57 as deliverable monochromatic versions!
I'll withdraw 1st ranked design and hope you'll like these modified versions! But if you insist on having sheep in this logo, I'll make new variations tomorrow!
Glad to see you back! Actually there is a way to put the sheep back, without interfeering with that other designer's concept,...I'll be back soon with new concepts!
...and there's updated concept with sheep and deer, one in front of another, looking at the hunter (#69)! This concept is probably better and conceptualy more developed than initial one,...I'll have to say thanks to designer that complained!

Done! :) There are two variations on #75 and #76, with full scope! Both looking good,...I guess it all depends how much of "hunting" emphasis you want to make! I would personaly keep current selection, because it is symbolicaly well balanced,...these might have a bit too much hunting feel to it! Of course, you know best what fits better with your business strategy,...options are there!

I have decided for logo #72. I will use this logo for caps and shirts of the ranch, If it is possible could you send me the logo for diferent colors of the caps and shirts? because not every color matches with different colors… Most of the caps/shirts will be white, camouflage, khaki, and safari green. I think we did great job with this visual identity, and we did it together,...your feedback was very constructive which resulted in HQ, pro-looking design.
I've uploaded final logo source files. LogoTurnament upload engine allows only one file per upload (one EPS. and one JPEG.).
JPEG. is picture format of the selected logo.
EPS. file is universal file format printers will use, and it can be opened by any graphic software (Adobe Illustrator, Corel, etc.). In layers of that file, I've placed all variations you will need for proper printing application of the logo - there's: 000_basic color version; than all the colors appearing in the logo: 001_red, 002_ocre-yellow, 003_gray; 004_black; than best colors for application on khaki and safari green: 005_dark khaki and 006_dark safari green. On camo shirts, I think black would work nice, and on white caps/shirts, full color logo would look great. So, there are some clothing design tips as well! :) (Note: EPS. is very important file, and when ever you need to print the logo on something, just give it to printers, and they'll know what to do with it,...including creating additional colors if needed)
If this is all in order, all you'll need to do is approve the files, and handover process will be concluded! Just click "Approve" link under My Account > My Ended contests.
