My initial concept for your consideration... #71 / #72 / #73 / #74
A r and 5 combination lettermark. Works great on all surfaces and in monochrome variants.

Feedback is more than welcome.

Appreciate the ranking... would you like to see the design in an emblem design...
or are you set on your current selection?

Excellent Deux - we really like your work. Have you considered a different color for the top of 5 (r) and bottom? I am sure you have. Or have you played with different font? great stuff.

Thank you very much!
I am also very exited you liked it. Minimal, bold and yet... will make you take double-take.

I have uploaded some layout variants yesterday (#101 / #102)... are you referring to something like this?
What color(s) would you like to see?

Here are a few emblem variants... #116 / #117 / #118 / #119...
The symbol is bold enough to easily be placed on any surface without loosing it edge.

Totally agree with you about the symbol, it's very versatile. We're planning to use our logo on a jersey where there would be red, black and/or gray around it, so is there possibly a way to outline the symbol in #71 / #72 with an offsetting color to make it standout more (ex. don't want #71 to blend in too much if there happens to be red color nearby). It would be alright if that change ends up requiring a modification of the symbol font, while keeping with the overall design. Thanks for all your work!

Not a problem what so ever!
Just to be clear..... you require the symbol with a a border... right?

But a question.... when printing on lets say a red jersey, why not just use the white variant.
When and if picked, i will upload a vector template with all the variants and colors you need as well as png files that are transparent... my personal opinion would be two colors maximum for the print on shirts and if the color of the shirt changes... all you would need to do is pick a color variant....

Ok, thanks for the clarification that we'll be getting all the color variants, as that was a detail I didn't fully understand.

So here's some additional explanation around the border request, that will hopefully help clarify... The initial use for this logo will be on a jersey that will be black as a base color, and will have a 4-5 inch wide red stripe running vertically (off-center). The intention is to have the logo over the top of both the red and black colors. The preference is to not use white as the primary logo color (however that may end up being the best solution), so the hope was that a border around the symbol would help to ensure a red logo wouldn't get lost in the red stripe.

We're open to other ideas if you don't think the border would be the best approach. We just want to symbol to really pop, but don't want to fully enclose in an emblem style as that takes away some of the vesatility.

Here is a variant that i think will do the trick... #120.
Any color background can be used.... and you'd still be golden.

I have a mock-up drawing I did on my iPad - and I'm far from an artist, so it's rough - but I'd be happy to send it to you. I'm not familiar enough with the site to know how to send it to you... doesn't look like I can attach anything to my comments.

Do you know how I could do that?

I like #120, but not as well as #71. Here's a link to a similar jersey design that I was trying to describe (just different colors - red and black) -
http://www.boozingear.com/cycling-jerseys/blue-moon-cycling-jersey-vertical-split

So what I was trying to describe above (but not doing a very good job of it) was that I am hoping it would be possible to but a narrow gray or white outline around just the red portion of design #71 so that a portion of it could be set over the top of a red jersey color and not blend into the background.

Thanks so much!

Thank you very much for all your work throughout the contest! We're really happy with the logo you've created for our team.

Regarding the logo variants that you'll be able to upload for us, can we get the following:
- #71 & #125 as shown, and also versions with the "R5" text moved to the right side of the symbol?
- #72 standalone symbol in the color shown and also in red?

You had mentioned transparent versions as well, and those would be great to have.

Also, we do like the emblem variation of the logo you created - would you be willing to also upload #119? I'm not sure how that aligns with the rules of the contest, so just let me know if that's not possible.

Let us know if you have any questions for us or any concerns with what we're looking for.

Thanks again!

Thank you for the honor of having designed your logotype!
The template will have all that you require.
Will have it uploaded by Sunday afternoon or Monday morning the latest... Just moved into a new apartment and am lost within a lot of boxes!
