Hello Sara and welcome to LT,

My name is Scott and I'll be one of many designers working with you over the next few days. I've uploaded a design that is clean intelligent and relevant to the services provided. It also ties in nicely with the company tagline.

Hi Scott!! Thank you so much for posting!! I really like what you did. I like the font you used for the entire logo, company name and slogan. I think you really captured the essence of what we are trying to achieve.

#47 I like how you tried to change the R into something by incorporating the bolt!

#42 #44 I am not sure which I prefer. With or without the lighter green highlight.

We tend to lean towards the logos that have the graphic to the left instead of on top but perhaps you know better how the market views it?

The bolt is an integral part of the company brand, though I prefer not to use over used swoosh people I do make exceptions when it's the right time to use one and this is one of those exceptions....the inspiration came from the god Zeus .

I've done a test mock up on a Tee and it looks great the bolt character is really strong current design..hahaha pun intended hahaha

Client
#47 Do you think the bolt would work better on the G?

Logo Designer
actually can use both horizontal and stacked layouts....as mentioned above if you were to print Tee's stacked is the way to go...letterhead and Bcards either or

website horizontal

#46 #61 not sure if I prefer the circle or square so will leave both active :)

I am leaning toward oval, balances the design visually over being all linear as in #46

#46 reminds me of the Youtube logo a bit, without the bolt of course. Does the shadow work in #45 because it is stacked vs horizontal in #44?

#72 #73 #74 I like better than #46 but can't decide which colour I like better!! :) I am going to replace one of the 3 with #46, and move it to not interested.

Hey! Okay so we are into the top 5. I'm really not sure what to ask as far as revisions go. Your design is simple, but it works. Basically what I have been saying to everyone is, we also have been dealing with sawmills a lot more lately. I am not sure if that is possible to work in. We want crisp, clean and professional and like when everything is lined up square. You are ranked #3 of almost 14 000 designers for a reason I am guessing, so do what you do :)

the company is staffing agency, yes you do cater to a target audience but that does not mean your logo needs to have a ll these wee details that have no place being there, a saw mill wheel I just do not get it.

The idea of brand is to have a accessible design meaning broad enough to encompass many services, in your case saw mills and other clients but what happens if you expand to other services that are not electrical or saw mills...which is why my submissions are based on 2 things

1. the core of the company, staffing, yes you do electrical but think expansion) my submission are geared for that.

2. the tagline energrize, which which is why the focus is on a single bolt in various layouts, nothing complicated to distract the viewer

the concept of a single bolt which is humanized conveys strength and energy. My submissions show power not electrocution It's all about how other companies perceive your brand, not how you know what a design represents.

Which is why design #75 is my fav.

Hope this helps
Scott

That actually does help a lot and makes a lot of sense. You are right. Just because WE know what it is, doesn't mean everyone else will get it right away. We want something that sends a positive message without being too complicated.

#123 the character is reaching for the sky because his/her opportunities are stellar when using your services.

a wee bit of branding advice...take away the text does the icon mean anything or is just there
can the icon stand on it's own and with my design yes it can.

I read that as well. I was looking into whether or not to include the slogan at first and they said similar things. I actually think I prefer #122 to #123 The head on the right side makes it look less like a person to me...not sure why. Maybe I just got used to #75

Hello Scott,

My name is Debbie, and I am the owner of R G C. I am unsure of the rules governing the logo tournament but did wonder if it is possible to have a telephone conversation with you. If so, I'd be pleased to telephone you. Otherwise, we can continue this way. Please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi Debbie,

Unfortunately do to LT policy designers are not permitted to have direct contact with contest Holders while a contest is active...the reason for this is to reduce the amount of back door deals that can be made where designers offer free services to secure a win.

Though I disagree with this policy to a point, it is very frustrating not to not be able to speak with client or potential client, Typing ideas out the meaning gets lost or misinterpreted.

Once a contest is over there is no restriction on communicating outside of LT.

If you have changes for me I'll work on them but you will need to rank me number one in order for me to upload...Only the first ranked designer is permitted to upload revisions during judging mode.

Please keep in mind I have no issue tweaking design work after a contest is over. It's to be expected.
