With the Q/J mark, I went for something bold and full of impact, suggesting solidness and security. However, I also included curves in the two characters so that the design is more pleasing to the eye. It is elegant in it's boldness, yet modern (as opposed to being stuffy or old-fashioned).
(I updated the logo and made the size a bit more reasonable from the first version I had posted. That's why I withdrew the first one.)
