We love the sophistication and colors of this logo. It captures the Palm Springs architecture scene very well. Our only concerns are: (1) it depicts a flat roofline; whereas, the elongated butterfly roofline is one of the key features of our property; and (2) it may be a bit too serious. Our house is architecturally significant and we want to attract visitors who appreciate architecture. However, we also want to portray a fun Palm Springs vibe -- we offer our guests vintage beach cruisers (on which we hope to paint the logo), bright yellow rafts (on which we also hope to have the logo printed).
Great. As we are seeing more of the designs come in, we are realizing that we really like font/typeface on #9 and #10. They do a great job of making the house/brand look hip and modern.
We like the new designs (and really like your work on other contests). They are more fun and retro. Our only concern is that they are built into the square, and we wonder whether it would be better for the media we intend to use to have the graphic on a white background (e.g., like #69, but with the "house" on its own, insteadof instead the rectangle box). Really LOVE the incorporation of the roofline and the mid-century modern stars.
We really like all of the new designs. We still like the idea of a white background, like #72, but we realized that #69 is suggestive of a swimming pool, which we really like. We would also very much be interested in seeing a design with an outline of the sides of the house, so that it is more obvius that the design reflects the house -- the roofline does not have to be abstract. Of the designs so far, yours best reflect what we are trying to achieve in terms of Palm Springs mid-century modern style.
We really like your designs, but we are having a hard time with our feedback in striking the balance between fun and sophistication. We LOVE the color and sophistication of entry #10; we LOVE the simple stars in entry #69; we love the use of different colors for "mod" and "house" (but I'm not sure that we like "house" in a different font). Our ideal version of your concept would use the orange and blue; the simple sophisticated stars from #69; the simple sophisticated font from #9 or #10 and somehow incorporate the elongated butterfly roofline (see additional photo that I just added to the updated brief). The simple stars and roofline reference should provide enough of the mid-century vacation home vibe that we seek, withough losing the sophistication. Thanks so much!
We love entry 100 and 101. The shape of our house is actually reversed -- the longer and taller part are on the right and the shorter part is on the left. We would love to see the design reversed as described above to see which way we like it better. We may want to see the design in other colors as well, but other than that we REALLY LOVE it. Thanks!
(1) technically the part of the house that is shorter in height is also shorter in length (i.e., the dip is not in the exact center of the house). Design #114 has the scale pretty close. We would be interested in seeing that change.
(2) for some media, we would like our web address (psmodhouse.com) below the logo. For example, we plan to use the logo on bikes, so that when people ride around town, they will be advertising for us. Is it possible to get 2 versions of the logo - one with a web address and one without.
Thanks -- we really love logo. It represents our house perfectly, and we are happy that you worked with us to perfect the design.
The two most recent entries are great, except that we would prefer the roofline reversed, so that the shorter side is on the left (like entry #121), but with the dip in the middle slightly off-center to the left as well (like the 2 most recent entries). After that, it will be perfect. Thanks!
Hey there. Let me know if there are any other tweaks you need. Also if you want both ver the one with the background and reversed stars and the one w/o a background #120
