Discussion

This is pretty good because the "Y" with the flame almost looks like an Olympic Torch. It's like crowning a champion. In many ways FYR is similar - it is like a bunch of obstacles and tests, and we crown a champion - the best players - on a leaderboard.

Hello CH,

Thanks for the rank .
YES ! You got it right . That's an olympic torch and it represents spirit and dedication towards sports for athletes.
That was my intention and i feel glad . As the contest progresses i will provide the revisions as as per your request .

You are totally on the right track. The use of the "Y" as an Olympic torch was brilliant. .

What I'd like to see a variation of some kind that can somehow incorporate BASEBALL in some way shape or form.

The laces of the baseball in the flames, or the baseball diamond (field shape) as the flames, or instead of separating the bottom of the Y with that slant, make it a home plate shape at the bottom. Google "home plate" which is an icon in baseball, and that could be the bottom of the "Y" symbolizing this is for baseball.

To give further feedback:

1. We DON'T like #20 (gradient). The more simple and clean - the better.
2. I'm not sure what the separation at the bottom of the Y is supposed to be or represents. I don't mind seeing the Y extend down past the bottom of the other letters just not sure why the separation is there. Is there any significance? Instead of a random shape, choosing a significant shape like home plate will make sense as the separation.
3. We don't like the flames on #19 - they look "corporate".

Also may need you to put this on a black background

This logo is mainly going on black or dark gray shirts.

Hello,

I tried to keep it simple using flames around the field would made it look clumsy and. Can't be embroidery on shirts and other stationary

Definitely no baseball or other clipart in there. The logo you have done looks sharp, any clipart will just make it look cheap. So definitely remove the baseball.

The diamond around the whole logo makes it look too busy and is trying "too hard" to make it say BASEBALL. The diamond around it just overpowered the logo, and it doesn't look good anymore.

The homeplate under the Y is subtle and I think would look good if I can see it by itself with your original FYR logo with the olympic torch.

If we try to incorporate a baseball item such as a diamond.....The diamond doesn't need to be the size of the whole logo, and have the bases and all of the details. Go to adpbaseball.com and look how they utilize the baseball diamond (withe the curved outfield fence) and then look how that shape fits nicely inside the Y of FYR.

Also look how Nike Baseball used the baseball diamond: http://www.coolchaser.com/graphics/tag/Nike%20baseball

Maybe at the end of all of this tweaking..... maybe just the home plate beneath the "Y" will be all we need. But I'm just curious if something baseball related can be subtly incorporated in there.

#40 will end up being the winner most likely with the following adjustments

1. Black background (simulating the black shirts this will be on)
2. Remove the baseball field surrounding the logo
3. Leave the home plate under the Y

Lets see how that looks

The baseball home plate logos #49-#57 are all disproportionate and not the correct dimensions of home plate and makes it look weird. I don't think it would look good anyway

Would like to see this #1 ranked logo with black background and home plate on the bottom of the Y a bit "shorter" and not as tall to accurately reflect the proper dimensions of homeplate

Entry #81 "Y" hold the fire better, but reminds me of the field goal posts in American football and makes me think of a different sport.

Congrats on the winning logo!

On the winning logo can you just get the white line (the box) to be even on the top left side? It needs to extend more over the Y the way it does on the right hand side.

Sure . I will work on it and provide the final files.

Thankyou for choosing me as the winner :)
