I use references to art (pottery) and home. I also refer to The American Dream (white picket fences) to evoke a "none cliche" icon for my clients.

We like #1 and #2 - the house helps tie us to Real Estate....but is it possible to change the houses so it doesn't look like there is snow on the roof? :) #2 looks like snow topped mountains in the background.
