We are open to any and all colors. None that are just B&W please.

Our Ideas & Additional Information

We visualize a logo including a train image, and maybe something that speaks to nation-wide service- like a globe or a compass star, etc. (but this is not a must-have element.) Our website theme is retro travel, and old Hollywood style. In the images included I have tried to show the vintage poster styles we like. For a train, we want an old steam engine style, any colors for the train. Also included must be the company name: Production Train. Not sure how to incorporate the Old Hollywood and movies into the logo- but this is a VERY important element.

We do not want cartoony images.

These are just guidelines- feel free to try something different as well. We might like something we don't expect... within the retro travel theme though.

As soon as designs start coming in I will give as much feedback as possible to tweak the images. Thank you!

There may be future work available for the winning designer as well.

thebomber99- your #3 train image is too modern, we need a steam engine- and it's a bit too mono chromatic, we're looking for something with a few colors. (However the antiqued look might come in handy for printed materials later on.) But I like the logo shape and the sunrise type of background. Also, I think the word 'Production' is too small as well, but the word 'Train' has a nice font.

The movie reel on image #5 and #4 is a good idea, I would make it look older though and perhaps black- and I don't particularly like the star-y banner underneath- also the backgrounds won't work. The wings on #6 don't really go for me- but I like the globe on that one- however I would spin it to show the US- and if possible- make it look older. Thank you for your submissions so far!

Not bad, but they still don't have the retro travel feel that I'm looking for... so far #3 is the most retro but the train needs to be switched.... and the word 'Production' needs to be larger... and more COLOR please! :)

#12 is getting closer! However I would like to see a less rectangular shape, and more emphasis on movies and hollywood glamour. I like the detailed background- but I don't really like the mountains.

actually, I guess I mean a less horizontal shape- I prefer a more symmetrical or vertical orientation.

I like #16 and #17 but not the placement of the company name- I think if the name was at the top the logo would flow better, right now there is a lot of negative space at the top. I like the palm tree, but I don't think the stars or the Hollywood sign would show up on printed materials.

Wow! Excellent entries so far! It's going to be a tough choice! Keep up the good work! There's still more than a day left to get in those last minute entries! The top 12 or so are all really going in the right direction.

UPDATE! I've extended the contest by 2 days to make sure we get all of the variations we need to make a decision. My partner and I will make the joint decision, so please do not delete your submissions until the very last minute (if you must.) I think we are going in a great direction here, and the designs are very close.

Just a reminder to any new designers- we're looking for a stunning retro travel theme that emphasizes a train, and an element of movies and old Hollywood. Feel free to try something new that you might not necessarily see here... we might be surprised at what we end up choosing. Thank you all!

I just want to say thank you for all of the effort you have put in to my contest. I love the entries that we have here, and I thank the designers who have come back with multiple options and who have had to bear with my tweaking.
