Color Preferences
This is a tough question for me. My main color has been red. But I find that red can be very difficult to get right. It can be too orange, pink or dark. I like the passion and energy that red projects, however I am open to other possibilities. I don't care for green. My speaking sytle is very passionate, full of energy, stories and sprinkled with humor. We need to be careful with humor. I don't want a cartoon, however I don't want my logo to be viewed as stiff and lacking humor either. This is going to be my challenge. My audience is savvy. They have seen all the sales training and for the most part have heard it all. In some ways my audience is jaded. The sales training and speaking space is very crowded. I need to stand out. What makes me different from 90+ percent of my competition is the fact I have walked the talk. I have been in the field selling in a 100% commission world. I have gone 1 million dollars in dept to build a new company that turned out to be very successful. I have truely walked in their shoes. This is very important....I do not teach reps how to sell! I teach reps and teams how to get more appointments with Prime Buyers. If they can consistently gain audience with Prime Buyers I find all else takes care of itself. I do not go to a prospect and tell them I am going to replace their current sales methodology. Quite the opposite. I tell them I will dove tail beautifully with any training program they have embraced. I am a specialist who turbo-charges their ablity to get in front of more qualified buyers! I am a specialist in getting appointments with Prime Buyers.....Those with a bigger YES!
Our Ideas & Additional Information
My brand is:
Prime Buyers
Selling to those with a bigger yes

I'm not sure if the tag line should be part of the logo or not? My instincts tell me it does. Because when someone reads Prime Buyers I'm not sure what they will think. So I think the tag line needs to be included in the logo with Prime Buyers for clarity's sake. Please, not reference to "meat"! No Prime Beef!!!

Discussion

There is no way I will need to wait 6 more days on this. You all are extremly talented. I would be proud to display any one of the above logos. But obviously I can't and I'm challenged to narrow them down.

Here's what I like about #1:
the font
the clean look
it appears strong and credible
the "swish" guy is elegantly simple and I "think" it works

What I would like to see changed:
Although orange is a very cool color it doesn't feel right to me for my brand
And I don't think I favor grey. I think I will end up with stronger more primary colors. I'm using the work "think" because I'm honestly not sure about the colors and shapes yet. I need to see some more.

#'s 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 are creative for sure. I applaud anyone who can see the possibilities. To me these have a strong artistic element that I would imagine would be very appropriate an cool for a film, skateboard, CD cover etc. For me this look doesn't feel like it fits my buyers: Presidents, VP Sales etc. Hope that helps!

#'s 2 & 3 have a punch that I like. They feel strong. Now having said that I have seen many logos with primary colors that don't possess the "sophistication" I'm looking for. #1 has a simple elegance, solidity and a feel of sophistication. It will be interesting to see how I feel about #1 when the colors are changed.

In summary I am looking for a logo that projects "power", "influence" and "authority". One that has a serious feel of "SALES RESULTS ARE FOUND HERE!" A logo that exudes an "unstoppable energy" yet at the same time is sophisticated. That seems to be tricky? If we get lucky and come up with a super cool "symbol" of some sort that people's heads lock onto and remember, like the Nike swish, that would be awesome!

Thank you all.

As I looked over the logos I began thinking how the logos look and color would drive the design and colors of my new website.

The black and red are very strong. However they also project a bit of a cold and stark feeling.

Is it possible to maintain the strength and clarity and add a bit of warmth?

The "hard" nature of the black and red also seem to lesson the feeling of sophistication a bit.

The "symbols" that are being added are interesting and might bode well for use in other promotional material.

Thank you!

I've been giving a great deal of thought to the colors that best represent what I do and the buyers I serve. I've come to the conclusion that red and black are my best choice.

Using red and black I would like to see some logos that have a circular symbol featuring PB.

Thank you!

I checked out some of the other contests currently in play. I reviewed the logos created for Servos and thought the look of #46 looked interesting.

There are shadows below the text. I would like to see a Prime Buyers logo utlizing that treatment.

I also thought the font size etc looked cool.

I guess it might be necessary to place the tag line over Prime Buyers?

Thanks very much!
