Hi! My idea for your logo was to playfully illustrate that your business is eco-friendly. I took the basic outline of the iron from the "press" part of the name and used leaves instead of the holes you normally see on an iron.

I thought the clean simplicity would fit in nicely in the Charlotte atmosphere. I recently moved, but I lived there for the past six years. What part of Charlotte are you located in?

Please let me know if you would like to see any other colors, or if you have any other ideas or requests. Thanks!

Thanks for your entry! We are located in Southend and will be expanding to several additional locations around town that meet our targeted demographics.
We love the thought behind the iron. We believe that designing the iron as an object and positioning on an angle will make the iron more recognizable to customers. Also, we are concerned that the first round of colors will not be easily visible to customers driving down South Blvd. your input is welcome!!

Thanks for the feedback, Bill. I uploaded a couple more variations with the iron in another perspective and at an angle. Is that what you had in mind? I also went with a darker green- this should be more visible and still communicate the earth-friendly vibe.

I love the Southend neighborhood, I used to live about 10 minutes from there. Seems like the right kind of neighborhood to appreciate what your business does :)

Let me know if you need any other changes.

Good Evening Stacey
Would it be possible to make the iron in the logos more realistic? The handle portion of the iron seems to simple of a design. Thanks for your continued commitment to designing a GREAT logo!

Hi Stacey,
The new design is fantastic. We would love for the iron to be a little taller and the leaves to be a little more prominent. Thank you so much for all your hard work on our logo.

Thank you :)

I uploaded a new design with a lengthened, more upright iron and made the leaves more obvious as well.

We really like the way the design is progressing! We are concerned that the color selected for "Dry Cleaners" may be difficult to read from a distance on our road sign. What other colors would you suggest? BTW, where did you move to when you left Charlotte?

Hi Bill,

I will play around with some color options and upload them shortly. I think that brighter blues, greens and oranges are eye-catching and visible, but for a road sign it also depends on the contrast with the background.

What kind of road sign were you planning on having made? Keep in mind that in a lot of cases, logo colors are tweaked for signage. If the background of the sign is going to be a brick building, for example, a word in red might be changed to white or black. If you have any details on the sign or location, send them my way and I'll think of some solutions :)

I used to live near Quail Hollow golf course off of Park Road. I am originally from Michigan and moved back up after getting engaged to one of those rare "Charlotte natives" :) I think we will find ourselves back down there in the future though, we both love it there. Are you originally from Charlotte?

The roadsign is freestanding so no worries on the background material. We are originally from Maryland and moved to Lake Wylie 12 years ago (and never going back to cold winters!). Thanks again for all your hardwork!!

I uploaded a new version #102

I stuck with green because it helps to solidify the eco-conscious perspective of your business, but I did make it darker and added the colored bar at the bottom and reversed out the words 'dry cleaners' to white.

Let me know if you have any other thoughts or requests!

We still like the green color on entry #82. The color on the side of the iron appears darker than the color of the words "Dry Cleaner". Is the case and can we make the words the darker color?

Hi Bill,

In reference to #82, the same color is used for both the iron and the wording. It's just an illusion because the iron is fat/solid, and the words are thin. I will try working with a green more similar to the one you like, and see what I can do to make the words appear more prominent. I'll upload new options shortly.

Ok, in reference to entry #110 : I used a bolder typeface to make 'dry cleaners' more visible/prominent and kept the green that you like. Let me know what you think :)
