Thanks for the submissions! They all seem to be very high quality.
As I mentioned in the general comments, we prefer the graphics to be on the left-hand side.
The butterfly concept in Entry #54 is a great idea and is very interesting.
Was wondering if you wouldn't mind experimenting/expanding upon that concept with different versions? We tend to prefer stylized or abstract graphics that lean towards the simple vs complex.
Additionally, we would like to avoid making the graphic look too feminine.
Expanding on the butterfly concept, perhaps you could consider stylized/abstract variations using the following logos as inspiration: - msn: www.msn.com - ivywyse: www.ivywise.com
Let's further explore the butterfly concept. #141 and #142 are more in the direction of what I was thinking earlier.
Perhaps we could play around with logos that are a little more abstract - perhaps just include variations of the wings (no body, no head).
For these variations, we probably want to avoid making it look like a bug.
It's not necessary that it even look like a butterfly. However, if we tell people that the concept is BASED off a butterfly, then they should be able to see that.
Hello a bit busy today I'll update more on weekend but the contest may be in judging phase only 1st ranked can submit new updates anyway I'll try to catch up as soon as I can be available, thank you for continued support.
Thank you so much updates are up but I think I may have exhaust the possible arrangement with the butterfly design I'll take some more research on this though but continue to focus on the ranked design.
No need for further ideas, Xyan. We are going to choose our preferred ranked design and will focus final comments on minor revisions of that ranked design. We'll let you know soon.
Would you mind making the following variations of #154:
Variation 1: Start with #154 - Change blue coloring in graphic to green coloring Variation 2: Start with #154 - Change font type from "PREPMAVEN" (serif) to "PrepMaven" (sans serif) Variation 3: Start with #154 - Change tagline from "WWW.PREPMAVEN.COM" to "ADMISSIONS COUNSELING" Variation 4: Start with #154 - Change tagline from "WWW.PREPMAVEN.COM" to "ADMISSIONS COUNSELING & MENTORING" Variation 5: Start with Variation 2 - no tagline Variation 6: Start with Variation 2 - update tagline to "ADMISSIONS COUNSELING & MENTORING" Variation 7: Start with Variation 2 - update tagline to "ADMISSIONS COUNSELING"
updates as follow: #211 - changed to green (variation1)
variation with sans serif font options: #208 - Helvetica #207 - Bolder for single typeface (also variation5 no tagline) #206 - Standard (Calibri) also variation6 #205 - Myriad font (also variation7)
I think we're getting closer. Couple more updates, please :)
Update to #211:
Variation 8: Could you try a different color of green? Something greener? The current version of green seems to have a little too much yellow/brown in it?
Update to #206:
Variation 9: Please increase the font size so that the graphic is not so big in relation to the text. Perhaps you could provide a couple of variations of increased font size. Variation 10: Start with Variation 9 - what would these look like bolded? Variation 11: Start with Variations 9 - what would these look like using Cabin font (Google Web Font)?
Hi Greg, requested font changes with : #249 and #248 fonts will not be a problem in the finals it will be included as well with the chosen regular or bold option :)
The Helvetica bold looked nice but it looks a little cramped because not much white space between the letters. Leaning towards Calibri for now.
Couple more variations please: - #215 - for the tagline, please change font color to a darker shade of blue - #215 - for the butterfly wings, would you mind slightly rounding the outside tips? would be interested to see how that looks. the smallest wing is already rounded, so no need for changes to that.
I like what you did with the default spacing. Looks good. The black looks really good as well.
Couple more variations: - using #253 as a base, please create a version with slightly bigger text (similar to size in #214) - additionally, please provide an unbolded view of the version above - please also provide versions of the above where the tagline is the same color as the text
Additionally: - #252 base - Could you also provide an unbolded version of #252? - #252 base - Could you also provide a version of #252 that is a little bit darker gray? - #252 base - Not too crazy about the navy blue color in the tagline. It seems a little too purple. Maybe a blue that is closer to blue-gray (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue-gray), glaucous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaucous), or yale blue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yale_Blue)
Regarding the blue in the tagline - I think the main issue with the navy blue was that it was just a little too bright. Would prefer something a little more subdued so it doesn't pop out too much. Thus the suggestions of blue-gray, glaucous, yale blue - but really if you think something looks better, feel free to use that.
Probably only a couple more rounds of variations (at most): 1. #260 but with the gray font color in #257 (both text and tagline same color) 1a. Same version as above but with tagline as yale-blue
2. #260 but with the gray front color in #258 (both text and tagline same color) 2a. Same version as above but with tagline as yale-blue
I'm still waiting on feedback from one of my team members.
In the meantime, please update the following: - #262 - please slightly increase the spacing between the text and the graphic. currently, it seems a little too close (perhaps make the horizontal spacing same as the vertical spacing between the text and the tagline? or whatever else you think makes sense) - please make the same spacing update to #265
Hopefully this will be the last of the variations before we select.
Additionally, when we select a final design, would you mind letting me know the different variations and formats that you will provide?
Hi sorry for the delayed I was out of the house lately anyway updating the requested changes: #267 - #268 for the #265 color, spacing of the icon #269 - #270 for the #262 color, spacing of the icon
The final files here in logotournament includes a standard 1000px x 800px .jpeg & the vector .eps format file. Also included the standard fonts used with .pdf format as bonus :) Thanks for inquiry.
As part of the provided files, would you also mind providing: - black and white version - graphic only version (eps, png, jpg) - color specifications for the blue and orange used in the graphic
Thank you again for all the great work. We're very happy with the logos and will be in touch if we need additional work in the future!
