Suggestions: Lose the stitching around the lettering. Also lose the red stroke around all the text and bold up the already existing blue and make it a darker shade. Also lose the drop shadow haze (doesn't add anything. The red of the football you should make deeper.

Pat I think you were a lot closer with your first attempt and I actually suggested it to the powers that be. If you give a shield backing to your earlier submission and perhaps add some color to the lettering that might be the push toward yours.

I like it. we need to lose the metal text. The metal background plate make the stars stand out and lose the reflection on it. Also try to incorporate our station logo. The link is posted in the main area of the contest. For your reference and the reason your's isn't in first place is that the station manager really likes the PPR treatment that rob larkin did. I like your layout better, easier to read and your choice of font is great but the PPR treatment needs to be addressed.

Pat, some last comments. we really like your second rank submission. Can you straighten out the top of the shield so that there are no dips in it and where the stars are add our logo vertically. Also if you could make the text more aggressive... a logo to look at is the "Professional Bull Riders" Logo (just type it into google).

And if you could take that same backplate design and use just PPR with those aggressive letters and put prep pigskin report smaller underneath... that might do it.
