Thank you for these. I think you are on to something and it anticipates what I've been working on in parallel.
use of accent color in the second "c" use of negative space to make the reading use the creative brain
both of these are going that direction. However some things I want to avoid: no fades, shines, or other light effects "active creation" all lowercase - no capitals please lose the underline
A little more serious, less playful. Think serious + creative = Russian Constructivism, French film etc.
I really like the approach in #42 - you've taken the positive/negative space idea and I think the addition of the rough organic circle is a nice contrast. This is much more what I would hope for. I like the unexpected use of the dot of the i in #37 as an "o" and the double "c" in #20 - I'm not saying combine any of these, just that I like the creativity.
I would like to see what different fonts would do to #42 - as well as any other takes you have on the positive/negative .
I would also like to see some variations on the circle mark - I like organic/static roughness, and imagine that it's black/white mix would interact differently with the text depending on how it was executed.
Excellent response to my comments. It helps to look at choices. I still really like the initial design #42. I'll call the shape "black sun" with knockout white type. Seeing a serif font in #60 I'm pretty sure I prefer a sans-serif font. Just not sure the #42 is the right one.
I like the rectangle options, but brings me back to the black sun as an interesting sign. I would like to see some other "black suns" more and less chaos. There is a sharp white curve above the C in prac that seems out of place, though I like the sense of rotation. The black sun is the dark chaotic creative space out of which prac - cis can be read. I like the active / creation split as is.
So: 1. please show me some different swirling black suns 2. can you try similar sans-serif fonts, try to get something cool to happen
#93, #94 are too far from the original and not the direction I want to go. I like the black/white (no grey) of the first designs. also like the rough scratch, stain quality. I simply want some very similar takes on that. Similar fonts too - sans serif, modern, classic.
Imagine that the first "black sun" was a coffee stain - I like it, I just want you to make some other stains to see what difference it makes. Do almost the same thing, but different.
We like the splatter but I think the font is not right. I'm going to go through Adobe to see what grabs me. The look should be clean, modern, not commonplace, not gimmicky. I like the font you used on #59, but hope for something a little more distinctive, but still timeless and clean. thanks for all the nice options.
