The goal is to present a fun and colorful logo that appeals to children and adults alike. There is a fine line between appealing to children and looking unprofessional. I've pushed as much as I could to be fun and childish but also retain a very professional look to the logo. The main imagery and text in the logo can work well together or as separate elements in your branding efforts.
