Here are some of my proposals. Instead of creating a separate icon / typography combination, I've created an all encompassing logo / unit. One that can be used for additional elements just as branding stamps, watermarks, shirt badges/embroidery etc.
I added in Chicago, IL after doing a search for Poplar Creek ... but being from the UK, I'm not 100% sure if its related, so please excuse me if its not :-) but its easily changed.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Thank you for the submission. I like the use of hops and grain. However, being from the southern portion of the United States, the hop symbol looks a little like an illustration of cotton. I understand exactly what the symbol is but I want to make it a little more clear to the target audience. The shop will located in Martinez, Georgia. Thanks again.
Thanks for the feedback and comments, always appreciated! And thanks for the confirmation of the location. So just to confirm - you'd like to keep the hop icon but make it clearer that it is a hop and not cotton? Is there a particular design of mine you'd like me to develop / take further or shall I apply it to all of them?
Please keep the hops. I like the use of ingredients and you are exactly right, the hops just need to be made clearer i.e. solid green without multi colored cones. I am open to all designs. I would be interested in seeing if someone could blend a polar tree or creek setting with the aspects of home brewing. It would also be interesting to see a backwoods, bootlegging type design. Please keep the ideas coming. Thanks.
You are a talented designer and I would love to have you in the next round. Do you think that you can take entry #16 and #18 and fashion them into a more emblem style design? Please let me know what you think. I look forward to seeing what you produce. Thanks in advance.
Sorry for the delay ... Been having IT issues, so struggling to that sorted! That's something I can definitely do no problems at all. Let me work on a few options and submit soon.
I really like your submissions! I would be interested in seeing what you can do with the bootlegger theme that you created #75. Please keep up the awesome work. Thanks again.
Thanks for the feedback ... When you say "interested in seeing what you can do with the bootlegger theme", is there anything specific you'd like to see?
I was wondering if you can build a concept with the bootleggers as the center piece. Kind of build around the bootlegging theme. I am not an artist visionary when it comes to designs. I wasn't expecting the designs that you submitted thus far. Your concepts have already exceeded my expectations. I don't want to limit your imagination on this. But the bootlegging theme/design seems to be going in the right direction. I hope this helps. Thanks.
And here are a few new designs; #86, #87, #88, #89 and #90
Some bringing in the barrel theme i.e. viewing the barrel from the top and having a wood grain effect. The others working of the original idea of the two men next to a barrel. And the last one brining in an old Ford Model T that was used in those days for bootlegging.
You are spot on! To be fair you should have 3 of the top 5 designs but I would like to give additional designers that have been involved from the beginning with some pretty good designs a chance in the next round. Great job.
I also like 90 the best. You you think that you can replace the works craftsmanship, quality, creativity with something else(I don't want it to be confused with a slogan)? Not sure if I would like words(homebrew supplies, ect.) or graphics(ie grain, hops, ect.) I'll let you have the freedom on this one. You seem to have a great handle on things. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.
#105 - As per the original but creating an actual tagline #106 - Keeping it simple and using "homebrew supplies" #107 - Simpler still and removing the wording #108 - Changing the wording for graphic of grain #109 - As per #108 but adding a hop in-between the grain #110 - A new design and shape but including all the elements
Awesome design!! We need to update the location. Currently it reads "Martinez, Augusta". The location should read "Martinez, Georgia". No worries just a minor update. Also, I have an idea that I want to run by you as we start to finalize the design. I really like the way the brewing is written on #108. I would like to incorporate that into #126. The color of the grain that currently runs from bottom to top on #126 is green. Is there anyway to make it golden brown? The small hop icon on #109 that is situated in the top center between the grain. I would like to see that icon situated atop #126 between where the grain ends but colored green. If we can incorporate those ideas I think that it would be awesome. Thank you so much for all of the hard work so far. I look forward to your design changes. Thanks again.
Not a problem at all with regards to the changes I can work up those! However as it's judging mode on the first ranked designer is able to submit changes. But you can move designers around in order to allow others to submit changes. As soon as mine is in first I'll be able to upload those changes.
No worries. The current first place design is there just to let the designer submit a change. You'll be back up there as soon as he uploads his change.
And here are those changes applied! Now unfortunately the font from #108 is a script font and therefore doesn't fit the greatest in the green shape ... We have to use it upper and lowercase and the B and g mean we have to make it smaller to fit into the space. It still works, but I'm wondering if one of the other fonts reads better. So I've done a few font options.
