however, if you find the inspiration during oncoming days for something (maybe completely different) which combines PNN with 'Network', that would be highly welcome!
thanks for the comments... I'm trying to put some abstract on the "PNN". Do you like some ideas about to change the "PNN" into abstract shapes? I you do, I will get some other designs... thanks
after consultation with our fellow boardmembers, we found the letters PNN not clearly enough visible in logo's #4, #8, #9: if you don't know the organisation, you don't notion immediately that we are 'PNN'. In that respect, #15 is ok.
in answer to your question: really like the combination between an abstract mark combined with the letters PNN, the way you show in #15. It would be great if you show us your ideas!
Maybe you could use something more abstract, which focuses more on 'network', instead of the shapes that can be clearly visible as humans.
Thank you for entry #32, it has a good amount of playfulness, although #7 and #15 have more character. Although orbits is one way of creating a scientific character, we might consider a more abstract visualisation of a network that looks less like an orbit. :-)
for us, this also is a bit of a democratic process. So, some do like a pictorial mark (like #35), some don't, so it's a bit about convincing each other. so:
I really like #35, but I personally prefer abstract figures: could you maintain the network concept but either (a) replace the mortarboard with something more abstract, or (b) make a more abstract version of the mortarboard. (c) or both (in two more logos).
simultaneously, could you make the N's a bit clearer (by restoring the upper triangles) thank you! I think you're doing great work.
Actually, #35 is good as it is, but you could put less detail into the mortarboard (more iconic), maybe more straight instead of curved lines. I think it'll look better if the mortarboard doesn't contain the 'network-dots'.
I like especially the seemingly random distribution on the network-lines in #35 (including the one dropping down into the P), and the way you used the colors. Do you get what I mean?
As you can see one of your logos, #109, is still standing in the number one position. Could you make this logo more square, by moving the text to underneath the letters? This will make it more usable for a twitter account, for example.
One more request Could you try to use an even "cleaner" font? It does not need to be very different - it is a subtle thing. For example, if the font you used had vertical sides for the capital letter "M" it might fit the overall vertical lines of the logo better.
Dear CH, just wonder about you said early that all you need for the logo is abstract mark or letter form, NOT the picture mark. And, I think that's why you eliminated my design that used the pictoral version of mortarboard while asked me to changed it more abstract. But then you put another design with the clearer mortarboard at the 1st rank. I'm not sure, but it's just my opinion... Thank you for the perfect feedback and ranks... Good luck with your project.
