Hello, I love what you have done here. Thank you for taking my crude idea and making it look good. I love the African sunset. Love how you have made the Y look like a tree. Can i see what it would look like if the leg of the Y went the other way? Either straight down like a capital Y or slanting the other way like a lower case y. Still keeping the upper left arm of the Y blending in with the A. And what if the red cross was outlined or partially outlined in the brown so that it was more obvious that is a P and not just a cross with a bubble on it? Now that I just typed "red cross", it makes me think maybe it would be better to be more of an orangish red, like the middle sunset color so it's not a red cross (first aid symbol). Could you try tweaking the font abit? more purposeful or adventureish... But like i said, love the overall look you have achieved! Thank you, lisa
Thank you for the comments. But the idea is really yours. I love the way you have linked the letters in play together and also including the fun part of climbing in it. I will start working on the revisions right away.
Thanks for making the revisions - you have added a lot to my original idea and it looks awesome! It is almost perfect. I just am not in love with the font - it is not action, adventure, teen. It is too round, loopy. The P still looks like a cross with a bubble coming out of it. It is definitely better with the brown around it, but it needs a different font. The baboon silhouette was a brilliant edition to make it look African. It is perfect for my camp, but unfortunately i hate baboons - too many close encounters! Can you try a giraffe or a kudu or oryx ( you can google image search if you are not familiar). They are all iconic African animal silhouettes. So are elephants but they aren't found in the area of my camp. Thanks, Lisa
Just wondering if you are still working on this. Because there is only one day left and this would probably be my first choice in logo if the font were different and it was a different animal. See above comment. Thanks, Lisa
Please accept my apologies. Somehow i never got the notification of your comment posted on 14th Aug, Please find the revisions as advised. Please let me know if you need any changes in the design .
I'm glad i wrote again then! Thank you for making revisions. I like the giraffe! but i think just one animal is better, so drop the bok and just use the giraffe. The P in #58 is better, looks more like a P with the bubble gone. But you have now made the L and A more rounded and you haven't changed the font at all in Purpose Leadership Adventure for Youth. It is all too rounded and loopy. That style does not say adventure or action. Teens will not like it. In #58, it is difficult to see that it says PLAY - the word PLAY should be clear. With the straight lines in the L and A in #34, you see PLAY better. So the P in #58 is better, the L and A in #34 is better - I"m not saying to do it exactly like that, but notice how the straight sharp lines look better than the curved ones. Can you please try a different font? That is really my only issue with this design. Thanks, Lisa
Sorry, I misunderstood the font change for the main name "PLAY" hence the rounded appearance of "PLAY" Ill will change it back to #34 and change the other fonts.Thank you for explaining it in detail . I am on it.
Sorry if i didn't explain it well! I don't know the designer lingo. LOVE the changes to #61, 62. #60 the font was too childish. My target audience is teens.
But #61, 62 are almost perfect now! The PLAY is better but the font on the words is still not right. I went onto urbanfonts.com to give you an idea of what i mean by "adventure font". you might not have these fonts in your program but take a look at them so you see the look that we need here: Adventure Normal, An Ode to Noone, 28 Days Later, Comic Book Commando, New Land Conture, Treasure Island. Those are just some examples of action adventure fonts that teens might like. Do you have anything like that? That you think might work on this logo? Plus the words should be slighter smaller than what you have here so the PLAY stands out more and you don't just see a bunch of words. You need more blank space so you see PLAY and the figures. We are close... Thanks, Lisa
Hi I am glad you liked the designs. I have used a few fonts you have mentioned, in the revisions, i just submitted. Please let me know if you need any changes to the design. Thank You
Awesome! So much better. Can you give me the smaller font in a white background too? Meaning #63 on the white background also. Then I will give people two options to choose from, the cool new font on the red background (64, 65) or the smaller font on the white background (the combo of 61, 63. But I am confused as to 64, 65. I really like the new font! And I like how you have rounded the corners. But i don't see a difference between 64 and 65, am i missing something? Can you also round all 4 corners just a slight bit more? the bottom corners don't look rounded. With all 4 slightly rounded, it will look better on clothing. Camp tshirts, staff jackets, that kind of thing.
# 65 and #64 have different fonts. If you could watch closely, you would find the difference. The thumbnails are pretty small, so its difficult to make out the differences. I will submit the revisions shortly
Yes, yes, yes! Now you've got it! Now that I can see the minute difference in font can you give me #64 font in the rounded brown border and give me #66 without a brown border. Then I think those 2 will be perfect and be what I send out as options for people to judge. One white background, one red - with 2 different fonts.
Perfect! I don't think there is anything you can do to improve on these designs! #70 is my first choice, but i will include the other three to see what others think, people that know more about web issues or printing issues, and may think of things I don't. Thank you for putting all the time into it to make it perfect and give me 4 great choices!
oops, guess I was wrong about no improvements. #70 is definitely a crowd favorite, but someone told me the "outh" should be closer to the Y. It's a minor thing but i agree. It is further away than the other words are from their first letter.
Hi please find the revision #81 i have moved :"outh" closer. Thank You. Please let me know if you need any changes in the design. Thank you for your time.
