Hello again - I wanted to thank you as our contest comes to a close, and say how much I enjoyed working with you and showing our favourite of your designs, #160, to a wide group of people in our final decision making process. Ultimately it just missed out on winning, but I hope a little more feedback may be useful in explaining how we arrived at that decision. We mocked up how each of our final few designs would look in context on plain and busy backgrounds, as well as in some creative ideas which integrated the logo to make a point to an audience. We showed these mock ups to a wide range of people outside and inside the church to gauge the impression each logo would make, and what they made people think the church would be like. #160 gave a great impression of energy, vitality and the gathering of people in a warm, friendly way. It turned out to be extremely popular within the church community itself, although there was some criticism that Jesus or the cross was rather unclear. Outside the church, with the people who we're trying to reach, people liked the design but felt that others looked more modern, and the impression was more of a community group than a gathering around something else like Jesus. However, the shape was one of our favourites, so we persevered to find ways it could do the job we wanted it to do in context. In our final decision making, we realised that #160 was really well suited to display next to our content, but we favoured a different design where content could live within the logo itself. This was a very difficult decision to make, as it wasn't something we originally foresaw when we wrote the brief, but that is ultimately why we came to the amazing LogoTournament community, to be surprised by ideas which are better than we could have come up with ourselves. Your designs have definitely impressed us a lot, and I've recommended you to other people who may be looking for logos in the future. Thank you again. Best wishes, Bern
