Hello again. Thank you for your additional submissions. I still like #3 the most. And I am very torn because even though I like it so much I am still concerned that the lotus is too feminine and already used so much elsewhere.
You did give me what I asked for by submitting images representative of movement but I do not care for the pose they are in. I am also unsure about the whispy-look of the figure. But perhaps the whispy-ness would not bother me if it were a different pose.
I would like to continue exploring the possibility of other images to use in the logo. A good resource for beautiful photos of Pilates exercises is Benjamin Degenhardt's March Matness. If you follow this link you will be taken to the blog and can scroll through all of the pictures with the title "Return to Life on the Mat."
http://marchmatness.com/category/picture/Some I think might work better are:
The Leg-Pull
Control Balance
Boomerang
Jack-Knife
Scissors
Bicycle
Shoulder bridge (with a single leg extended straight up into the air)
High Bridge
(Please do not use the Teaser.)
Another one that is not pictured on that blog is the Star. It is like a side-plank with an arm and a leg in the air. See a photo here:
http://www.pilatesunlimited.com/what_is_pilates.phpIf we find a pose that we like, it would be awesome if in the logo the image has red hair or a red head.
And in respect of full-disclosure, I did ask another designer to create a logo with the Star pose and red hair. I am hoping that since it was my request and not his original idea that there is no conflict in asking the same of you.
And after saying all of that, the image does not need to be of an exercise if you can come up with another image that signifies holistic health, strength, and is gender neutral.
I hope this is helpful. I really like your work and hope we can create the perfect logo.
Thank you very much,
