Hello! It's Sunday night for you so I understand that this message will not reach you until your tomorrow morning.
The new hair lengths look great. I will have to look at the 4 options (#199, #216, #217, #196) over and over again to see which one consistently feels right to me.
In the meantime, I want to share some other thoughts with you on how this logo will be used. We can pick one image to use to explore these next updates and I'm assuming that in the end it will be easy to pop whichever hairstyle into the final logo. Please correct me if I am wrong about that. For now, let's work with #217.
My first thought: I have been envisioning this logo on the back of a business card in a monochromatic format. I will upload to the brief the business card that inspired this thought. It is a monochromatic black.
I am picturing my card being that deep reddish-brown color that you have used for the face and "Pilates by." The face and "Pilates by" would be visible with that monochromatic effect and the hair and "RedHead" signature would pop out in their awesome redness. I hope what I am describing makes sense.
My second thought was that even though I LOVE this red & brownish color pallet, it does not match the look of my studio. The idea I described above is dark in a deep, rich, exclusive-feeling, couture sort of way (which I like). My studio has a much lighter feel, more like the beach. I want to keep in mind that my branding needs to be cohesive. And so the look of my studio and the logo may need to be better married together.
With this in mind, there is a color in my studio that I think may work well with the color pallet of the logo. I will also upload a picture of one of my walls painted this color. I am not good with knowing/naming colors but I am going to say it is on the spectrum of a Tiffany's blue.
Perhaps, instead of the background color on the card being the deep reddish-brown (is there a better name for that color?), it could be the Tiffany's blue color I uploaded. The fill of the face would be monochromatic with the blue. We would have to figure out if it works better with or without a brown outline like you have in #193. And the text would remain the colors you currently have them in.
Can we explore what #217 would look like in these 2 situations - on the reddish-brown background simulating as best as possible the monochromatic effect and on the Tiffany's blue both with the brown outline (like #193) around a blue face and without the brown outline around the blue face (simulating the monochromatic effect).
I understand that what I see on a screen will not look the same as the monochromatic effect on paper but I'm hoping this exercise will be informative enough to show me if what I am seeing in my head is a good idea or not.
I hope this all makes sense. Please ask for anything that needs clarification.
Thank you!
