Well, I'm not sure either :) I initially thought it might add something to the concept, leaf represents some kind of freshness which I thought might work well with food/vegetables. It was just an idea but I totally understand if you dislike it.
#25 is really good, but missing something. Something that makes the identification of the logo quicker when someone glances at it. I think that is what the red circle does for #20.
Yes, you're absolutely right, it's definitely time to go to bed :) I've just uploaded more colourful variations so please have a look and let me know your thought. I'll check all the comments in the morning.
You're right. I like it too. What makes the difference here is the color combination. I was focusing on the concept itself first as color is something we can adjust later on, but it is of course very important too and as we can see it makes a difference.
Here's one of the more constructive feedbacks I received "...like the structure, but the color feels a little unsophisticated, a little christmassy...if you made pike black or charcoal grey and highlighted the global foods in a cool washed out organic looking green that might be higher impact...keep the wheat colored accent and make the swoosh match global foods."
Thanks for the feedback. Lets work on the right color scheme. I just uploaded new variations but I'm not quite sure if understand that part about matching the swoosh with the "global foods". Would you like me to connect the end of the swoosh to one of the words somehow? Or just to make the global foods a bit smaller so it's aligned with the top of the swoosh?
here are two more variations with a bit smaller tagline that matches with the height of the swoosh: #51 and also one where the tagline is in two colors, "global" in green to match the swoosh, and "foods" in orange which matches with the wheat: #52
