Hi Kim, it's Kim :) Thank you for these great designs! We wanted to see if you could "tweak" a few things for us. We really like the icon in #75 with the bumpy edges- we feel that it makes it look more like a lens. We feel like it has a lot of "white space" though. Could you do it like the icon in #76, with the thicker lines and the filled in flower, yet still have the bumpy edges? Also, could you make the PHOTOGRAPHY and the Learn, Share, Create a dark, chocolate brown instead of the purple/gray?
Thanks so much! Today was a crazy day, sorry it took so long to get back to you. Tonight and over the next few days, we'll be much quicker to give feedback.

I'm glad you like the concept. :) Yes...I designed the bumpy ridges after looking at my Nikon....and loved that feature around the lens. I was going for something that implied camera...without being in-your-face camera. I also liked how it gave it a stitched/scrapbooking look as well.

I'll work on the changes right now. What a fun contest!

Thanks Kim! It's great to hear you have a Nikon! We're Nikon people too :) We like the logo much better with the dark brown lettering, and with the icon changed. Chad and I are going to sit down and talk later today and figure out if there's any other changes we'd like to see. We're finding out it's hard for a man and a woman's brains to come together on logos. He really likes the fonts in #120. If you get a chance, maybe you could try something like that with the existing icon. We extended our contest 2 days, just to have a little more time to figure things out. We'll get back to you a little later today- have a great Saturday!

Hey Kim, one other idea. See how #136 did those little bubbles behind the letters? Could you make your #100 with the bubbles more like that? Make them more translucent and place them behind the letters? Just a thought. Thanks, Kim

I was able to fatten up the fonts from my earlier designs...and move things around a bit. Let me know if this is closer to what you were thinking of. Thanks!

Hi Chad and Kim,

Since the bubbles were part of my earlier concept and appeared prior to the #136 entry...I'm happy to alter them to your liking. I want to be very careful not to step on another designer's toes...so I tried to keep the look and placement unique and in line with my original design.

Hi Kim, we really like these new concepts as well! Could you try one more thing? On #156, swap the placements of "my way" and "learn.share.create". On #157, try moving "my way" to the right instead of the left (so it would line up with the end of "photography", instead of the beginning). Just wanted to see the difference.
Thanks so much! -Kim

Hi Chad and Kim,

I made the change to #156 that you requested. On #157...when I put "my way" flush with the end of Photography, the letters ran into each other in uncomfortable ways, so I moved it a bit more right. I am also providing an option where I was able to make it flush right by enlarging the "my way" font, making nice gaps for the letters to fit within. I chose to make it a bit thinner so it wasn't overpowering at this size. Let me know what you think.

Thanks!
Kim

Let me know if you like the new colors and updated flower. I did draw the flower from scratch...so it will be uniquely yours.

And, with the bubbles...

Still used the retro colors...but, added a touch of orangey / rust to make it a little more cheery.

Hey Kim,
Hope you had a great weekend! OK, sorry we were a little distracted there for a few days. We had family in town and a big family event this weekend. Here's the latest. After much consideration, we like the original font of #219, but we would like it if you could do the same thing you did with #224, either stretch out PHOTOGRAPHY or make My Way smaller so that everything ends in the same place. That would be great. We will finalize everything today. You've been great! Thanks for everything!

And a version with very slight changes. In this one, "MY Way" is a tiny bit smaller...and the tag line a tiny bit larger.
