can I see entry #88, #81 and #20 with just the outline? nothing inside, only the existing outline of the dog itself and without the bone. I have an idea in mind and just want to see what this outline looks like on its own. Thank you.

i have two or three tiny ideas for the eyes that might make a difference. it's small things like moving the iris up a bit and looking at the shape of the eye.
after lookin at these again, I think I like the eye on #94 best. The 'round' eyes seem to give the dogs face a "buggy" look. Like someone looking at you with their eyes wide open. I think the extra white space is what makes it appear that way to me. It doesn't seem like the extra white space in the eye is a good thing. Maybe it's the way the iris is placed that makes it appear that way.
Can you give me #94 with the smaller "TM" on the outside.
Can you also use a lowercase "i" for the first word of the slogan - it ain't gonna pet itself
thanks for the feedback and updates. #104 seems to have a different eye than #94. can you please confirm and update that. also, the .com should be using the other color (not brown).
I got one comment today saying that it would be nice if the dog was smiling a little more. I'm concerned to ask you for this because I don't want the dog to seem overly animated or expressive, but can you try giving me one variation of #105 with a slightly bigger smile/mouth?
Also, what do you think about giving #105 more substantial feet? Not taller, just more substantial (thicker)? The feet seem light in respect to everything else. When I look at #90, the feet seem to have a 'shadow' to them (or is that the feet on the other side?), but its total width seems much more proportionate. Just another idea trying to make it even better...
yeah, i was thinking to ad the other feet myself. i'll try that. but i didn't because the feet are allready pretty dark. but i'll see what i can do. same for the smile.
i tried to put feet behind the feet that are allready there (like in the orange versions), but the brown was allready too dark. they would like weird mega chanky feet then.
I think I like version #106 best so far. the feet seem more proportionate to the body and the smile seems better. What do you think of this version compared to #74? People keep telling me they like both of these but #74 more...
well, i can always put the feet, smile and eyes from #106 in #74. that being said, i can also put the #106 logo on a grey background and see if that makes any difference.
but what i like about the concept of #106 is that the dog is SO close to touching itself, while the slogan says: it ain't gonna pet itself. it also nicely wraps the dog in to a logo. there is nog other dog you can do this with. but with the characteristics of a dachshund, you can get away with it.
would you like me to put the same feet, smile and eyes in to #74?
no. It's not the reasons you've outlined. I think it's just the visual of the traditional wiener dog. I agree with your reasons for liking the concept of #106.
Do you like the new smile and chunky feet better than the previous version?
yep, a lot of people just like to see the dog i guess. and with good reason.. casue they love that kind of dog. But in this case we're trying to make a fun representation of that dog that is usable for many print purposes. when it get's too realistic, it won't work on a smaller size (for instance embroidery print can be great on caps or shirts). It has to be a strong representation, an icon.
yes i do. the thinner feet only worked with the other feet behind it. without those they are to thin. now they are better of being a bit more chunky the smile is a bit more happy, which is good. but for me the important part is that it doesn´t take away too much attention. As a whole it should be balanced.
without bolding the text, do you think there is another font type that still looks good and can be used that will make it easier to read the slogan? Maybe it just needs to be bumped up one font size. I don't know... Just an idea.
i like #108. I think the font size is slightly larger than just the next size up from #106, but I can always change that later. Thanks! We've come a long way...
If there are any other changes you think can be made to make it even better, feel free to give it a try.
#110 is good. Slogan size looks better. I'm indifferent about the eye. What I liked about #108 is that there seemed to be a bit more white space in the upper left hand corner of the eye which opened up the eye a little.
You can see what this looks like better than me in a larger size. It's extremely small on my end, so I really can't tell what the sparkle is doing and what looks better. I'll need to defer to you for a decision on the eye. Just know that this will be printed on merchandise. Think of what will look best once people can see it better close up.
yeah, i'll put the sparkle back. cause it looks better with the sparkle when the logo is in a bigger size. and small it makes little difference. so better to leave it in.
On the same note of the eye, I can't see how the nose looks in this smaller version. Can you take a closer look at the nose on a larger scale and make sure it looks good when blown up larger for print purposes?
yeah, the nose has a real nice shape. looks good blown up large. and that's the great think about vector images. you can enlarge them as big as you want without losing sharpness or image quality (if you have software like adobe illustrator)
