What We Do
Target audience - pregnant women and their families. We would like to emphasize the connection between the mother and newborn.
PIRI has created a sample biorepository that will be used for future research studies to evaluate biological mechanisms of maternal morbidity, the relationship between maternal and newborn health, and the impact of nutrition and other interventions on infant health and development for preterm and term newborns.
Biorepository: A facility that collects, catalogs, and stores samples of biological material, such as urine, blood, tissue, cells, DNA, RNA, and protein, from humans, animals, or plants for laboratory research.
Color Preferences
dark red, orange, medium yellow, coral, deep purple
Our Ideas & Additional Information
A graphic representation of a mother/baby connection. We would like any identity characteristics to remain slightly ambiguous to promote inclusivity.
Representation of biological specimen such as cells, genetic material, sample vials, etc
We like the variety in the attached picture for the ALS biorepository. We imagine a graphic with the mother/baby figure in the center surrounded by bio lab and specimen graphics.
