Hi, here's my first entry. You say it's about awareness, so in a way it's about speaking out against prisoner abuse. It's about being a voice for the people behind the bars. So my design captures this by showing a speech bubble coming out of the lock. The font is heavy and bold and has a prison feel to add to the seriousness of your cause. I've also used a deep blood red color to represent the abuse also and the deep navy blue gives it another serious tone. Please let me know if you'd like to see any changes. Thanks. BMF
HiThere, I do like your design and you are getting the idea...as the saying goes, pictures are worth a thousand word and I agree with your thinking and thoughts. I certainly like the clear deep colors you used...this is what I wrote the other day...sorry I just learned yesterday how to respond to the designers...I don't think a lot of people would get the keyhole lock thing, they may think it is a person....October 21st, 2009, 8:55amThe Designers seem to be missing the Mission Statement of my organization,... AWARENESS....bringing awareness, education, guidance, direction, how to, expose, reveal, shine the light on the issues and problems concerning the brutality of prisons, jails, detention facilities, lawenforcers, injustice of the criminal justice system...I get keys and razor wire in my design, this is not revealing the purpose....what about some popping eyeballs, the light shining, something creative, most of what I have received so far, I can create myself in some free logo services...thank you for the work, but it is not getting the job done as to what I am looking for...PAPA
I meant to add...this is the solgan I use a lot, bringing AWARENESS concerning the corruption of the American Industrial Prison System...Enough is Enough...Stop the Insanity...thank you for your hard work and hopefully you can tweak it a little more.PAPA
Hi. Thanks for the feedback. After reading your comments I've decided to try a different approach. The subject matter is brutal and hard hitting. It's a really important message of abuse that goes unheard and unseen by the outside world. You aim to stamp it out. So I've created an icon which shows spatter and a bootprint stamping over it. The bootprint represents two things. One being the abuser the other meaning being the fact you want to stamp abuse out. It's a powerful logo that represents your important message well. Hi. Another entry before the end of the tournament. Taken the original concept and developed it further. This icon shows the speech bubble with an eye in it. You open peoples eyes and ears to the situation. You make them aware - so this icon represents this concept.
