What We Do
PenMet Parks is a parks district responsible for 12+ parks in unincorporated areas surrounding Gig Harbor, Washington, USA. Please see: https://www.penmetparks.org/ to learn more about this client. They serve a population base of over 1 million people in the surrounding areas and operate nice parks facilities.
Industry
Color Preferences
The client's parks are located in an area where there are forests, mountains, and the sea. Please look at the greater Gig Harbor, Washington area on Google Maps to get an idea of the landscape. That would naturally mean that we would use blues, greens, browns, etc. -- natural park type colors. We are attaching their current logo to this contest as an example of what has been used in the past.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The client wants to appeal to young people and families. The logo must be recognizable (their current logo is not) and work well on everything from signage to t-shirts. You may want to do some research on what other successful park districts are using.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you present a logo with mountains or landscape, it would have to be local. For example, our famous mountains in the area are Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. Submissions that just show a generic mountain will not be considered. Gig Harbor is part of Puget Sound in Washington State, an ocean inlet that runs from the Pacific Ocean to Olympia, Washington. You may want to search Puget Sound for ideas.
