Both of your designs are nice, but they're not quite capturing the freshened look we're aiming for. Read: they're too conservative and probably wouldn't garner a lot of attention for us. We're looking for something that looks more 21st Century.
Another note, and this is minor, usually we use Pender United Methodist Church on a single deck/line (sorry, my old newspaper-speak coming out) or on two lines with Pender standing alone on the first deck, and United Methodist Church alone on the second.
