Comment Activity shamsnelson commented on #117 It's ok man, I'm really happy with the other logo so I think I'm going to go for it... I reaaally liked working with you though and I'm sorry we didn't choose your design. But I might have work for you in the future if interested -- just send me an email at shamsnelson@gmail.com so I have your contact info. Thanks again!! ~Shams 5 years ago nicefreelancer commented on #117 You can rank me 1st temporary to do a change in the font and put in the circle, its my last attempt to get better hehe 5 years ago nicefreelancer commented on #117 Hi! Unfortunately, I've done my best for the tournament .. within the style I like to create my logos (simpler), but thanks for ranking and have a good decision! 5 years ago shamsnelson commented on #117 Hey man! So there have been a couple submissions that really changed up the game and we're moving more in that direction. I really love this graphic you've created however and I think I will have other graphic design work for you in the (probably near) future so please send me an email so we can keep in touch: shamsnelson@gmail.com You've done some awesome work, but I wanted to be strait forward with you since I've discussed this with the team. But yea, maybe when you see the other designs you'll come up with something that blows them away! We'll see! My main feedback on this would be the font looks too Disney to me, and if we could put the words inside the circle that would fit the profile pics and stuff better. Actually, with a font and styling more like the designs I have ranked above you and fitting it in that circle, I could definitely see this becoming a competitive design! Gah! I'm actually feeling anxiety all of a sudden cause I know it's going to be so hard to choose :S Thanks man! ~Shams 5 years ago nicefreelancer commented on #80 Hi! Well, I think it's better to create a logo where it already serves both for social networks in the round format and for your website and other places etc. I do not really like having 2 versions, or separate icons etc, I believe that less is more 5 years ago nicefreelancer commented on #58 I'll apply a new font to it yet :) 5 years ago shamsnelson commented on #33 Ooo... this is promising (with the font change) ... I like those little swirls up top -- has a cool whimsical fantasy feel to it. The dragons might be a little to evil/scary for the vibe of the brand though hmmm... Maybe like a mountain range there instead?! That could be really cool with the map drawing theme -- I like the idea of both a mountain and dragon, but I feel like that would look unbalanced. This could be really cool... It would also need to be squiched just a liiiitle more vertically. But that would be easy just snip a bit off the top and make the sword go into the text section like the sword in the stone (so trim a little in the middle). Also the shape on the bottom (though I do like it) might be cool as the stone! (Or an anvil? But i think the stone would be cooler... i really like that one) -- sorry for the rambling -- just typing as I think cause I'm pretty busy! :S Thanks!! ~Shams 5 years ago shamsnelson commented on #58 Oh but it's really nice that it's round though -- that's one thing that makes it tempting... hmm 5 years ago shamsnelson commented on #58 Hey! I really dig the creativity and style, but I think I still like the other one with the words "Pen and Blade" and the sword/stone against the white background (nice silhouette) -- going to keep this on my interested list to show the team in the next day or two and see what they think. Thanks! 5 years ago shamsnelson commented on #46 Thank you! :] 5 years ago nicefreelancer commented on #46 Hi, thanks for this nice feedback! I'll work on other font and your suggestions :-) ! 5 years ago shamsnelson commented on #44 This design is my second favorite -- I like how it references the map-drawing... 5 years ago shamsnelson commented on #46 Oh! And it needs to be able to fit in a square/circle for YouTube and Instagram so it might need to be squished horizontally a bit if possible. Thanks! 5 years ago shamsnelson commented on #46 Hey! I'm really digging your ideas and the sword/pen tip thing! I think I like this one the best for the feel -- something really epic and almost tells a mighty story. The one thing I'm not loving is the font. (Though the effect on the font is nice -- but maybe a grey stone color or...? Not loving this color, though I don't hate it either -- maybe just needs to be either more or less saturated?) -- Some fonts I like the vibe of are "Shakleton" "Alegreya" "Gin" (and the font from the current logo at penandblade.com) -- the font here is maybe a bit too overstated, though definitely in the right fantasy-genre direction. Overall I'm really impressed with your work--definitely the best stuff that's been submitted so far. Thanks! ~Shams 5 years ago
