going for the simplified industrious look, but maintaining some vibrant color as well. Simple schemes can change for various products. Also the simplicity can translate to black and white easily for those necessary applications. It would look good with our without the grunginess.

We really like #30! Our first thoughts though when we look at it are bottle cap and not pie. Could it be tweaked to be more like pie or something else going on to take away that bottle feel (we don't necessarily have to have a pie)? We love the grunginess.

Thanks!

Thanks for the input. I'll work on a few options. I was trying to convey that crimped edge many pies have. I'll see if I can modify it a bit to feel less bottle cap like.

sorry for all the variety, but i was working to figure out the best "pie" option. To me #69, #70, #71 and #72 seem to be working. I've done a more scalloped edge for a more crust like look and the outer rule has a nod to a pie pan framing the whole design. Let me know your thoughts and I'd be happy to take another stab at it for you.

Hi Foss,

After seeing all the renditions (thank you!), we are leaning a bit more back to entry 31... Is there a way to incorporate the website (pjpies.com)? Also - do you think it looks too much like a bottle cap - It does look like a pie to us, but we are wondering about "initial impressions" when people quickly see it. Do you have any ideas? Also - can you make the Peggy Jean's just a bit easier to read?

Thank you so much for the input. I'll be happy to take another look at it. I see "pie" especially with the rolling pin graphic which helps a lot. for comparison #31 and #72. on #72 i made the scallop smaller and more of them for less of a cap feel. I think the answer is somewhere in between the two. As for making peggy jean's easier to read i think it'll be best to remove a bit of the grunge on the type. I'll also look at adding the web address.

NOTE: about uploading entries during judging mode. During judging mode only the first place can continue to submit designs. I believe you can either move me into first so I can add the adjustment options or talk to the admin about opening it back up a for a BIT. Either way, just let me know. I'll get to work on incorporating your feedback. After things are posted you can then go back to having whomever you wish in first and work with those designers as well.

thank you so much. take a look at #75, #76, #77 and #78 I think the middle ground on the scallop edge helps sell it as "pie" and i've lessoned the distressing to help it read easier. Two placements on how/where the website could go. Let me know what you think. I think it's come a long way and is really starting to have a unique look.

I have to call it a night.
