Our Ideas & Additional Information
This logo will be
- shown digitally in presentations
- printed in documents
- cast in physical form throughout the actual logistics hub
Theme/inspiration = WINGED PEGASUS
It does not need to be a full horse. Aim to create the feeling of the Pegasus using an outline or just using the wings. The head need not necessarily be a focus point (or even present) as the head does not indicate flight. The image should give a feeling of forward movement or of taking off into the sky.
Style = contemporary and minimalist (less is more)
Try to convey a feeling of the image without necessarily using hard image outlines and without filling in the image too much. Ideal examples are minimalist optical illusions where a shape is perceived without it actually being concretely drawn out. Nevertheless, it must be obvious to the observer exactly what they are looking at and what it is referring to. Therefore it must not be too artistic and must remain focused around a business image.
Colors = basic, simple and professional
Stick to two tone colors if possible. If you use three tones then it should be subtle and tasteful. The use of the extra tone should be very discreet and should enhance the image and not take away from it. The logo should also remain distinct in black/white and greyscale versions.
Orientation = image should be adjacent to the text described below -- on top, to the side, or underneath is up to you (image on top is most likely best)
Line 1: "Pegasus San Diego" should be the primary name with a slightly larger/different font than the description below. The "San Diego" part can be on a different line if needed. Note that San Diego is just being used as an example here (location name change will be requested upon selecting winner), and the location component needs to be change-able not only for this first hub but for subsequent hubs in the future as well.
Line 2: "Aero Logistics Gateway", which defines exactly what the project is and gives some added meaning to support the logo image. This can be of a smaller size or different font to define it from the project name.
