The shape of the crosswalk might make it difficult for people to recognize as a crosswalk. Feel free to try something other than a crosswalk, such as a sketch of a person or a pedestrian stick figure.
The designs with a crosswalk to the right of PEDS may be too colorful. The curving path is not right for us -- as we teach landscape architects that people like to walk in the straightest path from A to B (i.e., no meandering paths.
I like # 91. In some of them, the use of orange in the slogan may make it too pale.
PEDS is an acronym, so the way S is designed in some of these are not appropriate for us. Some people mistakenly spell our name as PEDs or PED's. I'll move these designs to the 3rd column.
My previous message was a bit unclear. The font in 118 that I like is what you used for PEDS. The font in the slogan in 118 is too small. The slogan font in 119 is easier to read.
Perhaps because this is Easter weekend, but I think the image on the left side of #148 and #51 might remind people of a person on a cross. I will move these and some of the others to the undesirable column to make it easier for you to determine which designs to keep working on.
Good use of orange color in 148 and 154, but people might not recognize this as a crosswalk. People might not recognize the shape of the lines/bars in these as a crosswalk. I like the shape of these in 150. Orange is not the only option. We also use gold and green on our website as secondary colors. I'm about to head to our office where I have the Pantone and RGB #s we use for these. I'll send these soon -- might be useful as a background color.
The slogan is easiest to read in #154. Try adding toe prints to that one.
Other colors to consider using as a secondary color in the logo: Gold: Pantone = 224 ; RBG = 224/170/15 Green: Pantone = 390; RB ; RBG = 186/196/9
Of your top 4, the slogan is easiest to read in #153. Perhaps a bit more white space (vertically between the slogan and other features) We often print our logo on business cards and other small spaces, so legibility is important.
I like 153, 154 and 169 the best. I prefer having purple as the primary color -- And would like to see a design with PEDS in purple, toes, and either gold or green crosswalk.
Black background is not best for us, as we often use the logo on letterhead, business cards or other things where the background is white.
