PDX MicroLogo Design Contest

Hello marcocram!

Thank you very much for your submissions! #114 and #115 do not look right to me. #118 is the one I like the most from what was provided - and I can see the P and D in the design, but the X is very hard to see. It looks really techie, which I do like, but I believe it's missing the "Elite Gamer", "Visual FX", and "Viciously Fast" parts of my logo brief.

I do look forward to seeing what modifications you may be able to come up with :)

When I think about gaming world, all is about about win or lose, but we love to win! no matter how many times we have lose, just like the phenix, rising from his ashes again and again.

This is my new concept, I represent a pair of wings with letters P and D, and in the middle the X the phenix head: #151

FANTASTIC job on #151 and #152! I think you've captured a lot of what I'm looking for.

Let's try and make a couple different color variations? Red and Black and another one in Blue and Black?

I know it will be kind of hard also - but the logo mark does resemble more "bdx" instead of "pdx" - is there any way to make it look more pdx without messing up the phoenix?

I am trying to modify the left wing but I really love the symmetry in the design, anyway I will show you this variation soon.

I agree completely about the symmetry in the design - I think it has a lot to do with why I like it so much.

1. Although the red pops out to me a LOT, I think in the computer world it could be a bad color to use - but I'm pretty torn about it because I think it looks awesome, lol... How about another color variation - Green & Black?

2. The blue that you picked is a little light for my taste - let's also try a Dark Blue & Black?

3. Also, let's try to shorten the "tail" of the phoenix a little so it isn't touching the letter "D"?

4. Can we shorten the "wings" a little? I think if it goes too far it may start looking like a butterfly, lol.

5. Can I see a version of this logo on a white background?

Also, if we can get the logo mark perfected - I may need to see some different "PDX" and "Micro" designs - as the current one doesn't slap me in the face just yet ;)

Thank you for your recent submissions! I think all of the colors look fantastic - but it looks like you used the darker grey accent instead of the lighter grey accent on the current rank 1 design? What I mean by that is the grey that you put on the top left wing is darker than the rank 1 design - and looks off?

I do like the new shorter tail design better with the light grey wing...

1) Could you try a few more iterations on the font design? I think you're old font was better than the new one you provided.

2) Could you also provide a green/black and red/black versions on a white background so I can see how they look?

I just uploaded the versions with white backgrounds #183 #184. In my opinion the logo works better in deep dark background. I will prepare some fonts variations for you.

I agree the logo looks better on a black background - but I am looking for something that looks good on both a black background and white background (my forms that the logo will also go on are white). It seems like the white background makes the logo look more jagged than smooth - is there a way to fix that?

I think we've found a good font with #187 :) Is there any way to shorten the wideness of the letters a little?

Thank you for the white background alternatives, I think #189 and #191 both look good. I have a question - is there any way you can do something similar to my current logo text @ pdxmicro.com but using a similar design that the rank #1 has? I guess what I mean by that is something that looks professional, but also matches the elite gaming logo mark :)

Also, could you give me one logo with the logo mark to the left of "PDX Micro" with "Computer Repair & Service" under the "PDX Micro"? Basically the same thing as my logo @ pdxmicro.com but in your design - and with your logo mark to the left of it - sized appropriately?

I went ahead and ended the tournament early - your design is phenomenal and exactly what I've been looking for :)

Could I get #206, #205, #222, and #223 in the following color variations please:

Transparent Backgrounds on all images:
Green
Red
Dark Blue

Also, I think we have a little perfection to do... On the grey part of the design, some of the grey in the top left wing goes into the "p" when I think it shouldn't?

Also, on the complete oposite side, you have dark green below the "d" and it also isn't flush with the "X" if you know what I mean?

Don't look at anything I said above, this is what I think needs to happen:

1) #205 almost has the perfect text size - I think the "computer repair & service" needs to be a little bigger so it's easier to read.

2) Once #205's tagline text has been increased, please fix the shadows that you put on both the "p" and "d" so they are perfected.

3) On the phoenix's downward pointer (head), the very left tip has a little grey in it - which I like - but the very right tip does not have any dark green. I believe if the grey is going to stay in the left tip, the right tip should have a little dark green too :)

Once these 3 things are done, please let me see how it looks - and once that is done, we can make the transparent backgrounds and color variations :)
