Encore by PayneWestLogo Design Contest

We are a large independent insurance agency with offices throughout the Pacific Northwest. Every year we have an incentive travel trip where our sales executives must hit a certain dollar amount in new sales to go on. Our previous name for this event was called Network Builder (ugh) but we're rolling out a new name called "Encore". The event moves around sunny destinations in the western US and is meant to be a time of celebration for these colleagues who have worked so hard.

We'd like to portray a upscale, yet fun and not stuffy. We quickly go to black and gold because of that but we're open to bringing other color in. As a FYI, our PayneWest brand colors are:

Again this is for our new event "Encore". We'd like to project upscale, luxury yet approachable. Thinking more text than graphical - but open to a combination. A big part of the event is an awards show where everyone gets dressed up, etc. Our events have taken us from San Diego to Hollywood to Austin, TX to Scottsdale - so the logo needs to be versatile that way. We'd like it to include "by PayneWest" in there as well (but not the focus). We'd like it to be more simple, certainly not cheesy, but well-thought and creative the more you look at it.
