The typography in this logo is based upon the hand-tooled characters found on a Taxila copper plate which mentions Patika Kusulaka, a persian satrap. Satrap was a name given to governors of ancient Persian empires. Source: Wikipedia.

The idea here is was to present a juxtaposition between the usual earthy, nature-based options with something more refined, modern and different, but classic.

Hi,
Thanks for the designs!
I appreciate the thought that went into the hand-tooled characters, but my influence from the word is more Turkish, and while they have similar hand-hewn copper plates, etc., the font here is looking more oriental/Japanese-almost, as opposed to middle eastern. I do like the inclusion of the step-looking things, although that might be just has marks, but it reminds me of the narrow streets up and down the hills of Istanbul.
#17, while I like the intention of a retro/modern and the execution, I'm concerned the name is going to be new enough, that the text has to be really legible. And if someone's not familiar with the art-design foundation of that font, they won't be able to read it clearly.
I hope that helps.
Thanks again!
