Yea, like that. I still like the dots outside symbolizing the exposures, so maybe you can make the lines thinner?

I like the outer ring, might be an opportunity to include an element relating to insults that damage the lung.

I think including something relating to environmental insults would really top it off. We do a lot of work with cigarettes and e-cigarettes. Also have an interest in how maternal diabetes changes the lung. I don't think it needs to be a specific insult shown, but something general applicable would be good.

I like the concept. If there was a way for the lines to symbolize 'exposures' that damage the lung, that'd be better.
