Hi :) My entry divides the missions into three icons - I thought, down the road, you could break those icons apart and use them individually for church endeavors. For instance, bible study / devotional worship could use the family triangle. Mission work / planning could use the lighthouse, etc. If there are any revisions that you'd like to see, please just let me know :)
I like your comments about the three icons and their ability to be broken off individually and used. That is the right train of thought, I believe. By the time I got on the site you had withdrawn your designs. Please resubmit or redesign .....I like your embracing of our idea of what we want. Dean Hammond, teaching minister
We liked your design and thoughts on the three icons. We were thinking the same as further down the road breaking it down. This is our first time at this. Just curious why you withdrew?
Sorry - actually didn't mean to withdraw. I was on my wife's kindle and was **going** to ask what you thought about the icons, but hit the wrong tab and then when I tried to cancel, it confirmed instead.
NOW I'm on my desktop...so - what did you think about the icons for each of those paths. Are they on target or do you think something else could work better? Any thoughts, just let me know :)
sorry again for any confusion. Thanks for your patience. josh
Could you change it from a triangle to something els? Almost feel the triangle is too much now that we see the designs coming in. We feel we may have boxed in too much for creative design. Thanks
Here's a variation with the icons that moves away from the triangle. The style that these icons were illustrated was intended to be organic to match the roughness of the circles in #11. If you prefer the cleaner circles, I can recreate the icons to be clean / crisp as well. :)
ha - just saw the message about changing the icons. Not a problem at all - what do you want to see changed? Style-wise? Or the content (using a globe instead of a lighthouse, for example)?
#18 - here are some revised icons. The bible ico is different, but I'm not 100% happy with it. The side-view, laying open (probably around Psalms - haha) view is so iconic, it's somewhat difficult to show a Bible in a different way and have it recognizable. (if that makes sense)
is there a way to communicate without those icons? Just feel the icons look a little too much like clip art… Maybe a globe that is a little more simple and contemporary
Here are a couple missions work icon variations. The globe has fewer lines and is off-centered. I could try a globe with land mass on it, but they tend to not do well small and - in your case - it might isolate one particular region because you can only show one section on a globe. I also added a dove instead of the cross.
sorry - just re-read your comment...were you referring to the mission icon only? Or did you mean all of the icons looked like clipart? Just want to make sure I'm on the same page as you :) thanks
Hi Josh, we are liking the colors of #24. Could you change to circle to a triangle and put the word Go in the middle. We would like to see it where it is positioned now and also one with the triangle to the side of the church name. We are definitely getting closer. Thanks
We just had a meeting and are liking what we see. using #53 we would like to see a font change to something like #14, all lower case. the go needs to stand out a bit more. also, after the font change we would like to see one with the triangle outlined. thanks!
Here are several variations. I have two with lowercase and the rest have mixed case in a lowercase presentation. I wanted to see what you thought of those options first. I didn't want to tread on any other designers' toes :) (although, using lowercase in itself isn't a concept - I also want to make sure my entries are significantly different from what's being offered)
Not a problem at all!! (although, would you mind editing that last comment - you accidentally posted it in the public area instead of the private area...like to play my cards "close to the vest", lol)
Is this what you had in mind?
Any other changes you'd want to see, just let me know - really not a problem at all...that's why I'm here :) josh
#68 Here's a revision of #67 . I made the "go" larger and changed the font from bold to semibold (that way, it doesn't fill in so much...seems counterintuitive, but I think it sharpens up the type) If there's anything else, just ask :)
