Hi, my design is a play on building blocks/tower in reference to a nurturing/supportive community with the look of a chalk board in reference to under 5 children, or a drawing of a pre-schooler. I've used 3 of the specified PMS colors, happy to make any changes and welcome your feedback. Thanks, Catherine
Hi Catherine, I appreciate the concept of connect the logo w/ children's art, but that's not how I interpreted the logo. It registered more as a skater/industrial feel. Would love to see other ideas and ideas from you!
Thanks for the feedback, now that you say it - it does have a skater feel to it! I'm trying to come up with something that show's parenting in action, without the use of the much-used sillhouette figure type people. Here's another concept - perhaps TOO whimsical??
this def has the kids represented... and i like that they are diff ethnicity (we are proud to rep a diverse comm). any way to incorp the parents w/ the kids and to have diff age kids?
A few more concepts with different age kids and the parents included - using silhouette forms as the detail got too much for a logo with parents in the style of #12. Let me know your thoughts and can go from there...
great work, really moving in the right direction! is there a way to include fathers and babies? maybe a dad holding a baby? also the kid sitting on the A (#15) the P (#16-18) looks a little off - maybe he could be hanging from the letter or climbing up it and poking thru... something a little more active?
also we really want to promote the idea of connection and it would be great to have the figures touching (mom holding kids hand, pregnant mama holding her belly, etc)
Hi Catherine, Loving your latest concepts. Here's some additional feedback for you: - Really like your choice of font for "PAMP" and varying heights of the letters. It's subtly playful. - Like the use of different colors for PAMP in #15 - Like the subtleness of the gray figures in #18 and how they are secondary to PAMP - Do not like the background in #18 - Like that the concepts represent families, but it would be great if they could somehow be simpler. Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? - Like the simplicity of #12. The PAMP pops and the children are secondary. Style of the children is too playful though and there aren't any parents in this one. Thanks for all of your work! Rosanna
Great work, love the addition of the dad w/ the baby! One thing we like about #18 is the scale (the forms are secondary to the letters PAMP), would it be possible to play with the scale a bit? In #26 we worry that the large forms are competing a bit with the PAMP. And if there's room could we add a pregnant woman?
Can we see two more versions? - For entry #29, can we swap the dad w/ baby and the pregnant woman - I'd like to try to show a connection between the pregnant woman and the kid swinging on the P. Also I like the color and text in #27 "Of Palo Alto and Menlo Park"... can we see that too?
- #27 just the text alone without the forms at all.
Hi, #30 - Pregnant woman connecting with kid swinging. #31 - Just the text from #27 #32 - Just the text with a highlight across 'PAMP' and 'The Parents' Club' in caps.
Let me know if you'd like to see any other changes.
I just got back from presenting your concepts to our Board of Directors. Overall the feedback was good. Thank you for creating the concepts without any people silhouettes. That's the direction that we want to head as the concepts with silhouettes were getting pretty busy. I'm sure you felt the same way. Here's the feedback from tonight:
- No people in logo. - Use a single color, the red in #12 is nice. - There was some negative feedback about the current PAMP font being too "art deco-ish" and the "M" being "too pointy." Are there other font options we can explore? Maybe something super clean like the GGMG logo and something else that has a little more body and playful personality? - Like having the full name of the organization spelled out as in #12 and #31. - Like having the org. name in the same color as the "PAMP" text. - Would like to have the flexibility to use the logo with the "PAMP" text with the full org. name and as a stand alone piece. - Would also like to see #12 without the faces and maybe slightly tighter kerning. Adjust the "A" as appropriate.
We've come a long way! Thank you for all of your concepts and helping us realize what we really needed!
Thanks for providing all of the options! I realize that the contest is ending and was wondering if you'd be willing to continue to work with us to further refine the logo. I think we're really close and we really like working with you.
For the logos: - Like the horizontal layout of #39 - For fonts - Is there something in between the plain-ness of the font in #39 and the decorative-ness of the font in #35? Maybe something a little lighter in weight, modern/clean, but still in a sans serif and (if possible) slightly distinctive (e.g., not Arial)? The fonts in the other concepts either too playful or bulky. - There was some concern about having three different fonts in one logo. Can we narrow this to one or two? - For colors - we like having "The Parents' Club" in the same color as "PAMP" as in #12, particularly with the stacked text. It may not be as relevant in a horizontal layout. Right now "The Parents' Club" seems to really stand out from the rest of the text when it shouldn't.
That's no problem at all, I'll make these changes in the next few hours and submit them, I think we're getting close now - you or someone on your team knows what they're talking about as I've agreed with the points being raised eg 3 different fonts/ art deco-ish etc. Be back soon with the changes.
We've got a winner with #54. Love. Thank you! Just a few tweaks. Can you change the "Palo Alto and Menlo Park" text to gray (like in #52) and maybe add some space between the letters? It feels scrunched up and is a little hard to read.
#55 with font of #54 in grey and kerning less tight (same font throughout entire logo) #56 with font from #52 - so same font for 'PAMP' and 'Parents' Club' but different for "Palo Alto...."
Have also decreased the size of the apostrophe slightly as it had a little too much prominence in my eye.
