#3 please stick to the contest brief. I would like to see an updated version of Theodore Roosevelt's crest. Perhaps the crest could consist of a left right series of slating lines? ...open to interpretations that recall the original. Strive for elegance!

Dear Contest Holder,

We cannot copy existing artwork, even if it's our own updated version. Especially with something like a family crest, which is pretty specific. To create something that too closely resembles the Roosevelt family crest could cause trouble down the road if you want to have the logo copyrighted.

If you have express permission to use the Roosevelt family crest for a commercial purpose, i.e., your logo, you would need to provide proof of that with Admin.

Thank you. :-)

I am not looking for a verbatim copy of the Theodore Roosevelt crest. A crest with similar elements would suffice. Perhaps three left to right "slices" of a crest, or just three slices, each containing one rose. Regal colors would be nice, if they are simple and easy to read - three at most.

Another element to consider is a yellow stitch.

I've added a new design idea to the contest brief, which I'd like to see drawn as sewing stitches.

#80 good use of vibrant color. The logo should stand out. As few colors as necessary should be the goal.
