Thank you very much for accepting our invitation. The first three designs are a great start. In entry 45 can you put an owl into the middle rather than a man? We also like the line below the lettering in that design, however could you make the lettering appear more metallic and pick a slightly more sophisticated font? In entry 47 we like the rectangle and book under the oval with the man. From entry 46, we like the way that you fade the colors through the design and how there is a metallic quality to the design. In entry 46 we would have liked to see more yellow in the design. Can you try to fuse all of these qualities into one design and then we will go from there?
Thank you for the comment. Interesting earlier I was just about to enter a design with an owl but now will take into consideration all the things you addressed and will submit new variations.
Although the dark background looks good, we would like to stick with a white background for our design. Also, could you please have the owl placed symmetrically place inside the logo like the man in your first design? Please be creative with the owl design and create an owl like no one has ever seen before. This will be a huge part of the brand and we want it to look like nothing else that is out there.
In #85 (My lucky number :) and #86 I tried symmetrical placed owl with wings embracing the book and opening it to share the knowledge (represented by the glowing gem-like (as knowledge is precious) and sun-like orb)
We really like the thought behind #86, but it has too much of a cartoon feel for us. Could you keep with the concept but make it a little more traditional like entry #45 and #47, which we really like also.
Can you please change entry #53 to include some of the suggestions that we made before? (The progression of a child growing). Maybe put the face of the owl from entries #106 and #107 into #53 to see how that looks. Please try to put more abstract looking owls into the designs.
Here is what we would like to see you do. It is different than what you have done, but it is a vision that just came to us. We want to see a realistic looking owl with it's wings spread like it is coming down from the sky to catch some food. Under the owl we would like an open emerald green book with white open pages and a golden glow coming up from the book that represents knowledge. Make the owl look real like it belongs in the forest and at the same time metallic like some kind of futuristic military space craft.
I personally have a little problem with this. I don't know if you are familiar with how things go around here, but if a designer submits a design with an unique concept or element in a given contest only he/she has the right to develop this concept. I think the concept of the combination of an own + book + knowledge inside the book (represented first in my designs by a glowing orb) is mine and I have the right to develop it. But as I see you are asking everybody to work on that concept and I'm not OK with the fact.
I'll halt my participation in your contest till I clear this question and hear the opinion of the community. Sorry If I'm wrong but the if an idea/concept is unique and a given designer comes up with one ...it's not like that's a free game for all.
We (designers here) are not splitting the prize ..so we are competitors and we prefer if our ideas are being protected.
We agree with you Ivan and would like to apologize for our mistake. We would love to see you develop your idea further and continue to work with us going into the last day of the contest. Please let us know your thoughts and hopefully we can continue with our feedback and your submissions as the contest comes to an end. If you would like to continue working with us we would love to see any revisions that you may have made in the past few days with our feedback.
Not a problem at all, I decided to continue working on the contest since it's kinda challenging and after all nothing is easy. I'll be working on the revisions we were talking about and will submit as soon as I'm ready. I hope you find the best logo for your business.
OK, here it is - the book + the drop/glow/knowledge that is now a stylized owl turned upside down ...and the child grow progression inside the owl/knowledge. Let me know what you think of those.
Entry #47 is still the strongest to us. The owl designs are fair and we are looking for one to pop out in the design. Please use both colors that we requested (emerald green and gold). Be bold in your designs. Looking forward to seeing your revisions.
On your #1 entry we have a couple more requests before the tournament closes. -Can you give us some more options on an owl in #1 but be sure that it is not mean or evil looking and not cartoonish either, We are looking for a sharp smart owl. Can we se several different font options as well please. When all revisions are made can we also see the logos in black and white as well? Thank you so much Ivan.
Can you take the glow from entry #145 and put it into entry #47? Can you then substitute the font in #47 with the font that you used in #123? We are still looking for an owl design that will fit. Please make the changes mentioned in this post and experiment with different owls within that design. Please try owl silhouettes and if you need to make the oval part larger like you did in entries #45 and #61 please feel free to do so. An owl design like the one you put in entry #61 should work, if you just make it more bold. Thank you for putting in so much work on your designs. We truly appreciate it!
Here are the revisions of the font and the glowing arc, still working on the owl design but will upload soon. Let me know if those are what you had in mind?
