Like the simplicity of this and that it incorporates painting. Try a bolder font and try to give it a technology/chemistry twist.

Here is another version with a "techy" feel to it. A simple solid 2 color logo.The brush in a 1/4 bucket with square block paint chips. Very print friendly and easy to scale to any size.
